Job Details
Under the direction of the Director or Manager the Pharmacy Technician will bridge the service gap needed to provide service support to PACE clients and their participants in facilities along with the network pharmacies servicing them.
Responsibilities
Receives electronic prescriptions, weekly batches or refill requests and accurately and efficiently fills the prescriptions under the direction of the Pharmacist.
Performs pharmacy tasks such as handling, counting, mixing, and packaging medications.
Assists in entering minor edits to record correct dispensing quantity and manufacturer NDC used to dispense prescription order.
Performs reclamation duties.
Uses pharmacy software to check and/record data about prescriptions.
Acts as a liaison between our customers and their providers and our pharmacy, receives and triages incoming phone calls and messages to answer questions, fill prescription orders or handle other requests to ensure that clients have a positive experience.
Establishes and maintains patient profiles, including lists of medications taken by individual patients, and uses our advanced proprietary software system to document medication care plans.
Uses pharmaceutical technician expertise to ensure compliance, efficiency, and quality of operations.
Participates in company quality initiatives, recognizing opportunities for improvements and reporting quality assurance issues.
Secures information in accordance with the privacy and security guidelines of the Company and applicable regulations such as HIPAA.

This is a full-time position with an expectation to work an average of 40 hours per week and be available outside of normal business hours to meet customer expectations on an ad-hoc basis. Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed. Rotating weekend schedule required approximately up to four times a year or as needed along with a rotating holiday schedule.

The Pharmacist-in-Charge is a licensed professional who is responsible for providing safe and appropriate pharmacy services to BioMatrix patients in accordance with the policies and procedures of the, BioMatrix, pharmacy practice professional standards, and applicable regulatory entities. * Serve as Supervisory Pharmacist for Civilian Pharmacists and Clinical Pharmacists with shared responsibility for the full range of administrative requirements to include policies, procedures, supplies, budget, and equipment acquisition.

Basic Requirement for Supervisory Pharmacist:
Education: A doctoral degree in Pharmacy that is recognized by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) or an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained.
Exemption: You are exempt from the basic requirement above if you are a current federal employee occupying a position in the 0660 occupational series and have been continuously employed in this occupational series since September 27, 2017 or before. Note: You will be required to provide appropriate documentation to the respective Human Resources Office to validate your status.
Licensure: A current, active, valid, and unrestricted license to practice pharmacy in a State, a territory of the United States, or the District of Columbia.
Medical Requirement: Must be able to distinguish basic colors.
Experience: One year of professional pharmacy experience which includes overseeing pharmacy functions within a medical clinic; dispensing medications; and providing training or oversight to pharmacy staff.

Work with compliance technician to ensure physicians are following up with written scripts for verbal CIIs. Report to DEA when necessary.
Provide clinical expertise by responding to drug-related questions and concerns initiated by internal staff and external customers.
Ensure all deliveries are sent timely.
Manage backorders - verify legitimacy, attempt alternatives, contact facility.
Ensure Prepack RPH check is caught up
Ensure that all pharmacists are appropriately trained according to current policies and procedures.
Maintain current working knowledge of facility policies and procedures as relates to pharmacy services.
Follow all applicable government regulations including HIPAA.
Other duties as assigned; Job duties may vary depending on business needs.
Monitor daily workflow (PV1, PV2, Pre-pack check, clarifications) to ensure it is caught up.

We are currently seeking to hire a Part Time or Full-Time Pharmacist, Days/Evenings/Weekend Hours available.
JOB SUMMARY:
Dispense drugs prescribed by physicians and other health practitioners and provide information to patients about medications and their use. May advise physicians and other health practitioners on the selection, dosage, interactions, and side effects of medications.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Provide information and advice regarding drug interactions, side effects, dosage and proper medication storage.
Compound and dispense medications as prescribed by doctors and dentists, by calculating, weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients, or oversee these activities.
Maintain records, such as pharmacy files, patient profiles, charge system files, inventories, control records for radioactive nuclei, and registries of poisons, narcotics, and controlled drugs.
Review prescriptions to assure accuracy, to ascertain the needed ingredients, and to evaluate their suitability.
Advise customers on the selection of medication brands, medical equipment and health-care supplies.
Analyze prescribing trends to monitor patient compliance and to prevent excessive usage or harmful interactions.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs other related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
PharmD
Compounding Experience a plus.
Bilingual in Spanish a plus.
Must pass State and all required Licensure Exams
Required practical experience
Must have strong personal and managerial skills to manage medication consulting as well as face to face interaction with customers

Requirements:
Education/Experience:
Pharm D or Equivalent Education
Current Unrestricted License to practice Pharmacy
A minimum of three years' experience
Language Proficiency:
