JOB SUMMARY
Join the NOC team as a Photographer! As a photographer at NOC, the riverbanks will become your office as you photograph NOC raft trips and private boaters as they run Nantahala Falls rapid on the Nantahala River. In this role, you are responsible for capturing the photos. This position is classified as summer seasonal and reports to the Photo Management team. Due to the seasonal demand of our business, hours fluctuate week to week and we are looking for applicants that are available for a minimum of 3 months. This position requires the willingness to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
Responsibilities
Photographing
Capture high quality photos of NOC rafts and private crafts as they run Nantahala Falls
Adjust camera settings based on varying weather conditions
Guest Service
Help guests locate and view their rafting photos at Photo Finish
Provide photo format and pricing information
Communicate with guests about NOC activities and offerings, local area information and information regarding their trip
Provide top notch guest service to all guests

Position Overview

Key Responsibilities
About You
You're a hands-on creative with a strong technical foundation in photography, lighting and editing. You're just as comfortable setting up cameras, lights and retouching imagery, as you are running an in-house studio space that doubles as a workshop and staging area. What You'll Do
* Shoot professional-quality product & lifestyle hero photography for e-commerce, print, digital, and marketing use.
* Set up controlled studio shots using white seamless backgrounds.
Stage and capture hero and lifestyle images with warehouse personnel on the active distribution center floor.
* Take direction and collaborate with Creative Directors & Art Directors to produce on-brand, e-commerce and marketing visual media that aligns with required style and aesthetics.
* Collaborate & work closely with our on-site Digital Media Specialist to produce product video content productions that often run parallel to photo shoots.
* Manage lighting, composition, and styling to ensure brand consistency across product lines.
Retouch and edit imagery using Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Lightroom, Bridge).
* Organize, catalog, tag and publish assets to various digital asset libraries & servers.
Schedule and coordinate assistance from a small but experienced freelance/temp worker network, familiar with productions at our Buford, GA distribution center.
* Hire & grow the temporary support network as needed, based on the size and scope of assigned projects.
* Safely lift, move, and stage merchandise weighing 50 lbs or more for shoots.
* Receive training and certification to operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment to transport merchandise around the facility to shooting areas.
* Navigate the facility using a company-provided warehouse vehicle to access different shoot locations and front office team.
* Remain hands-on and comfortable using various hand and power tools to assemble, stage, or adjust merchandise and sets for photo and video shoots.
* Occasionally adjust schedule and shoot times for large projects (such as catalog covers or group product shots), including shooting in warehouse locations during the second shift (3:30-9:00 PM) when the floor is less busy.
* Be on call to capture and photograph employee events, associate studio headshots, and team group photos as needed.
* Work within a studio space that is consistently organized, maintained, and upgraded as needed with cameras, lighting, grip, support equipment and expendables to ensure best-in-class results.
