Survivor Mentors work directly with the youth and are responsible for in-person contact with the youth in the home and in the community on a regular basis. This opportunity requires a person with lived experience as a survivor of commercial sexual exploitation as an adolescent or young adult. About The Job The commercial sexual exploitation of children (CSEC) is a form of child abuse that constitutes any sexual activity with a minor for which something of value is given or exchanged. RFK provides voluntary mentoring services to participants that are survivors of CSEC or there are suspicions of CSEC. RFK provides specific training related to boundaries and secondary trauma to support service delivery. Key Areas of Responsibility Provide one-on-one support and mentoring to adolescent youth who have been commercially sexually exploited. This support will include weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly meetings (depending on where a youth is in recovery) with each meeting lasting 1-3 hours. Contacts may occur wherever the youth lives (including in group care, a juvenile justice facility, foster home, family setting, and/or in the community). Provide written documentation of each contact with your assigned youth using designated reporting forms and data collection forms.
