Greet members, prospective members and guests, providing exceptional customer service.
Handle all front desk related activities including:
Answer phones using franchise approved telephone script in a friendly manner and assist callers with a variety of questions.
Check members into the system.
New member sign-up.
Take prospective members on tours that follow franchise approved script.
Facilitate needed updates to member's accounts.
Respond to member questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner and elevate to Assistant Manager or Manager as needed.

* Responsible and accountable for registering all related sales on assigned cash register, collects and handles cash as required. Takes customer to OTC aisle when possible to assist in locating products.
* Handles telephone calls that do not require personal attention of the pharmacist, including those to physicians.
* Processes (corrects and resubmits) manual claims for third party program prescription services in a timely and efficient manner, and performs other clerical duties, as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager.
* Assists and supports Pharmacy Department on inventory management activities, such as, ordering, unpacking, checking and storing shipment of pharmaceuticals. Maintains knowledge of Company asset protection techniques, and files claims for warehouse overages (merchandise received, but not billed), shortages (merchandise billed, but not received), order errors or damaged goods involving Rx drugs.
* May assist pharmacist in administering clinical services including the collection and proper labeling of blood/urine samples from patients and other clinical services as required; assists pharmacy staff in coordination of clinical services, Walgreens healthcare clinics and external providers.
* Assists Pharmacy Manager and Staff Pharmacist in developing and maintaining good relationships with the local medical community, including physicians, nurses, and other health care providers, by medical provider detailing and outreach to health groups, retirement homes, nursing homes, and other forums for enhancing growth opportunities.
* Assists with exterior and interior maintenance by ensuring the Pharmacy Department is stocked with adequate supplies, clean, neat and orderly in condition and appearance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Deliver pre-designed workouts to groups of 4+ members
Program and implement individualized workouts for members
Energize and motivate members throughout the sessions
Build fitness attendance and retain current members/clients
Complete fitness evaluations/consultations on all new members and training clients
Prescribe and sell personal training packages
Ensure safety of participants utilizing heart rate and exercise techniques
Provide options and challenges for specific exercises to accommodate various skill levels
Attend weekly/monthly fitness staff meetings and required educational presentations
Support manager in membership sales and handle member concerns
Support manager and cleaning staff in maintaining club cleanliness and overall operations of the gym
Maintain all personal training clients' and prospects' information by tracking, uploading, and updating progress in Club-OS daily to better service their needs
Follow up with personal training prospects, obtain referrals/leads from current members and prospects
Achieve monthly sales, lead/referral, and fitness consultation goals
Create a positive club culture by developing relationships with members, providing educational training/events
Promote club culture and the club by using social media (the ability to market and post on Facebook, Instagram, etc.)
Provide exceptional member service on all levels
Be a team player
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Have a strong knowledge of physiology, exercise technique, and body mechanics
Must have a fitness certification/personal trainer certification from an AF fitness approved education company such as ACSM, ACE, NASM, NSCA, ISSA, NSCA, etc.
Bachelor's degree in an exercise related field is preferred but not mandatory
Current CPR/AED Certification
Ability to multi-task and stay organized
Positive and effective interpersonal communication skills
Desire and capacity to train all fitness levels
Must be willing to complete sales training and ongoing sales training
1+ years of experience teaching groups or personal training in the fitness industry
Excellent communication and customer attention skills
Must be able to safely lift and move up to 50lbs and work in a gym setting
REQUIRED CERTIFICATION & EXPERIENCE
Accredited Certification: ACSM, ACE, NASM, NSCA, etc.
Current CPR/AED
Personal training experience: 1 year preferable

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Membership Sales -
Membership and training sales - a large component of the club manager role is centered around membership and training sales. Managers must qualify, inform, inspire, and covert leads to members. We use a proven system that helps our guests overcome their own roadblocks to starting a fitness program. When used correctly, this system doesn't feel like sales at all. Remember, you are hired to inspire.
Personal Training Sales and Services -
Membership Sales Directors can expect to spend 1/3 of their time leading pre-designed workouts in a group setting. This includes energizing and motivating clients throughout the sessions, modifying specific exercises to accommodate various skill levels and ensuring the safety of participants using heart rate monitors and exercise techniques.
Club Promotional Marketing -
When you love your gym, others will too. The Membership Sales Director establishes relationships with businesses and influencers in the community to promote the brand through B2B marketing. This person also helps coordinate and execute engagement campaigns, national marketing campaigns, and community outreach efforts using assets and operations created by the Anytime Fitness corporate teams. We love the creative "guerilla" type marketing! We do use traditional marketing strategies (television, radio, newspaper, direct mail, etc.), but we really prefer the creative stuff. A good understanding of how to use social media is a plus.
Community Involvement -
We love being a part of the local community-even if it means working on a Saturday. There are countless opportunities to get outside the club and promote our business. We actively participate in the local Chamber of Commerce and community-sponsored events.
Networking / Employee Wellness -
We work with a network of local and national employers and insurance companies that try to encourage their employees to lead healthier lifestyles. Making contacts is the first step-then we try to find a solution that helps everyone.
Team Building -
Leading a team and driving results through motivation and fun is a key component to ensure success in being a Membership Sales Director. Your core team consists of personal trainers, group trainers, and part time staff. Your job is to train, guide, and inspire all members of your team to foster a trusting, positive environment members and guests want to engage with.

Operations -
Membership Sales Directors must ensure club is a clean, friendly environment. This means you are responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and well stocked gym at all times and following through on daily club cleaning checklists and maintenance efforts. You must ensure all staff are responsible for observing safety and security procedures, and that all equipment are functioning and operational.
Staffed Hours:
Staffed hours are subject to change based on season and scheduled events. Must be willing to work Saturdays during peak season months.
Minimum Job Requirements

Must be 18 years or older
High school diploma minimum
Bachelors or Associates degree in exercise-related field is highly preferred
Sales experience preferred - or the willingness to learn how to sell is a must!
Management experience is a PLUS!
Friendly, outgoing, warm, coachable, the ability to adapt to changes and work in a fast-paced setting
Available to work flexible hours - we do not have normal 9-5 hours and are staffed on Saturdays during peak season from October - March
Self-Motivated and ability to motivate others, self-starter, with ability work independently and effectively without constant guidance and supervision
Excellent communications skills, ability to managing time/schedules, and work well with others as a team
Positive attitude and the ability to inspire others to take action

Position is full-time. Competitive base salary ranging from $35,000 - $50,000 based on experience, with the opportunity to earn monthly sales commissions. This position reports to the District Manager.
