The Opportunity
JSR Micro, Inc. is seeking a Chemical Operator to join our growing Production team! This opportunity will be in our new state of the art facility at Hillsboro, Oregon. This position is responsible for performing quality control testing, product packaging and loading/unloading finished goods and raw material.

About You
You have a strong work ethic, be safety conscious, display attention to detail, be adaptable, have good communication skills and be able to work in a team-based environment
You have 3+ years' experience in chemical handling, weighing and mixing.
Experience with operational instructions and material safety data sheet (SDS) required.
Hands-on experience with chemical machinery and PPE.
Familiarity with process control software (FAS) and application software (Excel and Word) is desirable.
Here's More of What You'll Be Doing
Ability to accurately weigh and mix chemicals using digital scales, pumps, filtration systems and manual valves, interfacing with process control software (FAS).
Perform chemical process operations in conjunction with a (FAS) including inputting data into FAS and using to monitor process and quality tests.
Preparation, filtration, and sampling of photoresist / chemicals following recipes and engineering requirements using the FAS as well as written process orders and verbal instruction.
Complete all necessary paperwork / electronic input, documenting all work completed and in process.
Inventory management, assisting in monthly cycle counts, ordering of needed materials and proper storage of hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
Operation of both manual and automatic bottle fillers in a clean room environment.
Hazardous waste management including handling, labeling, disposal, preparation for shipping, and record keeping. Ability to create a hazardous waste profile
Packaging, labeling and documentation of finished product. This includes the use of computerized label printing machine, box lifter and fork truck.
Operation of bottle washing-sterilization system.
Certified operators will provide assistance in the training of fellow associates.
Make suggestions to management for improving this position or improving work processes.
Work safely by observing safety rules, policies and procedures.
Identify unsafe conditions

Summary

Primary Duties for Wastewater

Maintains day-tank chemical supply, monitor, and adjust operation of nutrient and pH control dosing systems under the direction of management.
Clean waste building operating all pertinent equipment.
Operate and Monitory plant support systems, including sludge pumps, oilers, aeration equipment, belt filter press, sampling and metering equipment and all associated valves, pumps, motors, and control circuitries.
Documents findings, efforts and activities in course of duties in a paper log and / or digital log format.
Notifies management of critical issues in a timely manner.
Maintains a clean, organized and hazard free work area.
Adheres to and complies with all state, Federal and Local regulations, policies and procedures pertaining to safe work practices and all operation and maintenance duties.

This position will safely operate the Dillard steam plant, which consists of three high-pressure steam boilers with the combined capacity of 550,000 lbs. per hour of 600lb steam
Five Combined steam turbines capable of 35 MW of power generation
The operator is responsible for the distribution of the 12,500 Volt and 4160 Volt electrical load to the Dillard complex and to the grid, and will assist with configuring the plant to "Island Mode" if loss of power occurs from PP&L.

What does a Wastewater Collection Certified Operator do in a typical work day?
Daily assignments will vary, but duties include:
Inspecting, cleaning, and maintaining sanitary sewer and stormwater collection systems to ensure proper flow and prevent blockages.
Operating a variety of equipment such as dump trucks, backhoes, jet trucks, and rodding machines to clean or repair pipelines and manholes.
Performs installation and repair work on sewer lines, manholes, and service connections.
Responds to sewer backups, overflows, and emergency calls to restore service and protect public health.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work is performed primarily outdoors in all weather conditions and seasons
The Wastewater Collection Division operates 24/7, 365 days per year. Team members regularly work 8-12 hour shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and may work extended hours when coverage needs or emergencies arise
Duties may involve working in confined spaces, trenches, or at heights, and around heavy equipment and traffic, including instances of pipeline construction and repair projects
Must be able to lift at least 90 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods
Must be able to climb in and out of heavy equipment, ascend and descend stairs and ladders, and access/perform work in excavated utility ditches

Key responsibilities:
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on wastewater treatment process equipment, including pumps, valves, aeration systems, clarifiers, and filtration units.
Monitor and maintain wastewater collection and treatment systems to ensure proper flow, pressure, and compliance with discharge permits.
Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and environmental regulations to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal wastewater standards.
Review and update maintenance procedures and documentation, including wastewater system logs and operational records.
Support audits and regulatory inspections related to wastewater discharge, effluent quality, and environmental compliance.
Interpret and work with electrical diagrams and mechanical schematics for wastewater pumps, lift stations, and control panels.
Collaborate effectively with peers and cross-functional teams, including environmental health and safety (EHS) and water quality specialists.
Participate in on-call rotations for after-hours support, including emergency response for wastewater system alarms or failures.
Key requirements:
High School diploma or GED required; Associate degree in a technical field preferred.
Hands-on experience with wastewater treatment systems, including troubleshooting and maintaining pumps, blowers, and chemical dosing equipment.
Familiarity with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems used in wastewater operations.
Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively for pipe repairs, valve replacements, and equipment servicing.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, especially in diagnosing wastewater flow or quality issues.
Basic computer skills and ability to learn new systems, including SCADA or other wastewater monitoring software.
Experience in a GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) environment is a plus, particularly where wastewater handling intersects with production processes.

* Basic construction experience
* Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record
* Ability to pass a background check
* Basic mathematic skills
* Excellent verbal and written communication
* Communicate with clients, residents, and colleagues
* Complete daily reports
Preferred Qualifications:
* Strong tool use capability. Basic demolition skills.
* Assess property damage
* Perform basic demolition
* Set up drying equipment. Move/rearrange building contents. Take moisture readings and monitor drying process
* Ability to work effectively alone and/or in team environment. Self-starter. Minimal supervision.
* Possess common sense skills. Strong motivator to accomplish tasks quickly with quality results.
* Able to obtain and maintain OSHA 10 and other safety certifications.
