About the role
As the Assistant Operations Leader in a Wonder restaurant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the General Manager in day-to-day operations to ensure the smooth functioning and success of our restaurant. You will work closely with the General Manager and other team members to create a positive work environment, prioritize food safety and team member safety, and deliver exceptional customer service.

The experience you have
At least two years of restaurant supervisor or management (Assistant Manager, Restaurant Manager, etc.) experience in a high-volume Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) or full-service restaurant
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage and develop teams of 15+ members
Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment
Attention to detail and a strong drive for efficiency and accuracy
Demonstrates professionalism and adheres to policies and procedures

What You'll Do:
Promote Safety. Take an active role in prioritizing safety throughout the operation for yourself and others at all times in accordance with MSHA and Vulcan standards.
PlantOperation. Operateplant equipment to regulate flow of materials to and from conveyors, chutes, pumps, and storage bins. Control stockpile inventory of materials.

Job Overview:
The Back PlantOperator is responsible for Dischargers (bottom ash/stoker) or APC (Air Pollution Control equipment). General tasks would include routine checks of equipment, troubleshooting equipment, and supporting Plantoperations under the direction of the supervisor or control room.

As a Power PlantOperator, you will adhere to departmental/governmental safety standards in addition to departmental/organizational personal appearance policies. To help achieve our mission, you will chemically analyze boiler, chiller, cooling tower and all closed loop systems.

**WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH**
+ Drive Fuel Truck - Operate a fuel truck approximately 15% of the time, delivering fuel to various pieces of equipment throughout the quarry to keep operations running smoothly.
+ Operate Heavy Equipment - Operate machinery such as dozers, loaders, and other heavy equipment for site preparation, material movement, and loading.

The individual in this role will be required to travel up to 50% of the time to various plant locations across Prince George's County and Anne Arundel County. Additionally, the position entails conducting pre and post -trip inspections throughout the plant as well as on equipment, including rubber tire loaders, excavators, or bobcats, before and after their operation.
WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
Safely operate loaders, skid steers, forklifts, and other machinery to transport raw materials and maintain stockpiles. Assist the plantoperator in managing material flow, monitoring temperatures, and ensuring continuous production. Lubricate bearings, inspect belts, check fluid levels, and perform routine maintenance on both plant and mobile equipment. Identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues on conveyors, pumps, motors, or mobile equipment; assist in repairs as needed.
Conduct daily walkarounds and safety checks on all assigned machinery and tools prior to use. Aid in loading trucks with hot mix asphalt, verify the correct mix types, and ensure that trucks are filled safely and properly. Clean up spills, clear blockages, and maintain a clean and hazard -free work environment around the plant. Adhere to company policies, wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and comply with all OSHA and environmental regulations. Monitor material inventory levels. Be willing to work overtime, weekends, nights, and in varying weather conditions to support plantoperations and maintenance.

Understanding of plant mechanics, including conveyor belts, motors, pumps, and the ability to assist with troubleshooting and minor repairs.
Experience working in or around asphalt, concrete, or aggregate plants, with knowledge of material flow and batching systems
Able to perform labor -intensive tasks, lift heavy materials, and work in extreme weather or around hot asphalt.
Ability to spot issues with equipment, material flow, or quality before they escalate into larger problems.
Willingness to take on a variety of tasks-loading, cleaning, maintenance-and shift between duties as needed.
A can -do approach, good attitude on tough jobs, and a mindset that contributes to a productive and respectful crew environment.
