We conduct focused research and engineering to build state-of-the-art LLMs, which we often open-source, like our team's recent Llama 2. We are looking for strong engineers who have a background in generative AI and NLP, with experience in areas like language model evaluation; data processing for pre-training and fine-tuning; responsible LLMs; LLM alignment; reinforcement learning for language model tuning; efficient training and inference; and/or multilingual and multimodal modeling. **Required Skills:** Research Engineer, Language - Generative AI Responsibilities: 1. What You'll Do: + Follow the deployment processes, which includes Build and Transition of all new initiatives, and includes phase gates reviews for key stakeholders + Maintains an understanding of all current and emerging Customer Identity and Access Management technologies, open system standards, management technologies as they relate to the support of Hertz infrastructure + Identifies and assumes an ownership role of Identity and Access Management Infrastructure, project delivery and security management + Provide leadership and act as a senior level mentor and provide support to technical personnel for any/all issues regarding service design, implementation, education and support of Identity and Access Management infrastructure and availability + Stays current on regional application and infrastructure projects to maintain effective availability and global consistency amongst regional infrastructure, integration, and configuration + Gathers project/application requirements from customers and stakeholders + Help define support requirements and management infrastructure + Develops, documents, and supports scripts required to deliver a variety of Identity synchronization solutions. + Ensures that third party solutions follow all Hertz standards + Provides senior management and general staff with accurate and complete status information + Sponsors, orchestrates, and implements technology pilots to evaluate emerging technologies and their applicability in support of Hertz business requirements and strategic goals. + Adheres to all current Change and Problem management policies and procedures + Additional responsibilities include participation in global 7x24 support model, planning and organization of projects, tasks, and support initiatives as assigned What We're Looking For: + Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field and/or equivalent experience + Minimum 6 to 8 years of relevant practical experience in Customer Identity and Access Management production support of large-scale, global environments supporting over 20,000,000 users and globally diversified application authentication requirements. + Deep hands-on experience with Customer Identity Management Solutions such as Azure and Okta in the B2B and B2C space + Experience in Directory Services and working knowledge of tools currently available to support LDAP + Experience implementing audit, logging, and monitoring policies + Experience in MFA, RBA, SSO, Conditional Access in the customer access space + Deep understanding and implementation knowledge in fraud prevention and identity verification algorithms + Experience with implementing and supporting Public Key Infrastructures including Certificate Lifecycle Management and external PKI providers + Experience with implementing role-based access + Strong scripting skills in Java is essential for this role + Strong implementation experience of web authentication such as OAuth, API-token, OpenID, SAML, REST, Directories, etc. + Excellent English written and verbal communication skills + Project management skills and global experience + Strong technical and non-technical communication skills + Ability to establish and maintain high levels of client trust and confidence + A proven track record of driving the delivery of large, complex IAM projects + Experience with the application of problem-solving methodologies to understand and solve challenging problem + Empathetic perspective on the customer point of view We expect the starting salary to be around $135,000 to $160,000 with annual bonus and profit sharing eligibility. PURPOSE STATEMENT: Under direct and close supervision, performs a variety of standard engineering work involving the design, modification, development, maintenance and installation of utility and non-utility gas distribution systems. Responsibilities ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES: Plans, designs and develops related specifications for the installation, betterment or maintenance of gas systems for assigned projects. May also be required to prepare cost estimates. Assists Hawai'i Gas personnel in the interpretation of codes, regulations, and company standards as applied to new business projects, mains or services replacement or relocation and LPG installations. Provides technical assistance relating to gas systems and designs to architects, engineers, consultants, and developers. Reviews and assists in the evaluation of new business projects to ensure they are compliant with governing regulations and company standards; prepares and submits application for government approvals and fire permits. Establishes and maintains effective liaison with the Honolulu Fire Inspector. Reviews construction plans and proposals by outside agencies to mitigate any conflicts with the existing gas network. Provides consultation and assists in coordination with contractors working near buried gas facilities. Prepares response letters to requests for plan reviews from other utilities, contractors, architects and developers. Assists Manager in maintaining the Tank Management Program (TMP). Perform audits of facilities; process MOC submittals, update drawings and documentation. Assists in the preparation of standards, policies, and procedures to conform with federal and local codes and company standards. Keeps abreast of technological changes and developments in the industry and works with respective departments to implement viable changes. OTHER FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES: Complies with all applicable Hawaii Gas policies and procedures. Maintains assigned work area and equipment in a clean, orderly and safe manner; performs housekeeping duties as required and/or instructed. Works in a safe and responsible manner. Performs all other related duties as instructed by supervisor/manager. Qualifications Required Education and/or Work Experience: Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent combination of related experience and education. Zero (0) to one (1) year of related experience. Good working knowledge of NFPA 58, UFC, City and County Plumbing Codes and 49 CFR 192. Proficient in the MS Office suite of tools (Word and Excel), MS Project. Required Licensure, Certification, Registration or Designation: Valid driver's license. Preferred Education and/or Work Experience: Experience in construction or consulting engineering field. Experience in using Geographic Information System (GIS) and/or CADD.
