Our Tampa location is our newest addition to the SESCO Cement locations. With the terminal being in the construction phase, you will be part of the ground up growth of the terminal as it is moves towards completion. Once operational, you will work to continually improve the site through other projects as needed.
Responsibilities
This role will be heavily active in the field during the construction phase of a project, coordinating with subcontractors and crews, verifying quality of work, answering engineering questions and/or resolving issues that may pop up in real time.
Assist in development of project plan as requested. Specifically, provide support to Project Manager(s) through helping to develop business cases by gathering requirements, building investment decision models, etc.
Collaborate with the Project Manager(s) in purchasing activities including scoping and take-offs.
Prepare and forward submittals. Confirm submittal complies with plans/specs.
Support the development and updating of the project schedule and subcontractor detail schedules.
Monitor and expedite material deliveries ensuring all deliveries conform with the project schedule.
Administer subcontracts as assigned.
Assist the Project Manager and Superintendent in the coordination of drawings.
Draft change orders. Solicit prices from subcontractors and suppliers. Perform scope take-off and estimate costs.
Aid in close out of project; includes assembling manuals and other warranties for turnover to owner and preparation final payment documents for subcontractors.
Act as the point person for document management applications.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management or related degree or equivalent experience.

Key Responsibilities

Desired Skills & Qualifications
· Strong experience developing firmware in C/C++ for microcontrollers (STM32, ARM Cortex series, etc.), on bare-metal or RTOS environments.
· Deep understanding of embedded systems fundamentals: interrupts, timers, real-time scheduling, memory management, and low-level communication protocols.
· Hands-on experience with debugging tools such as oscilloscopes, JTAG/SWD, logic analyzers, and serial debuggers.
· Proficient with Git, agile development workflows, and automated unit or regression testing methodologies.
· Experience with drone control frameworks (PX4, ArduPilot) is a strong advantage.

Job Duties:
Act as the SME and Provide technical direction/support to other team members for component material declarations and related environmental compliance.
Support NPD and provide oversight of Product Regulatory Compliance development activities for products used for UL/CSA/CE/IECEx/ATEX and other applications. Review the design with Engineering and verify compliance with the standard.
Develop and maintain close technical relationships with 3rd-party certifying agencies (like UL, CSA, FM) to result in efficient and favorable outcomes for product certifications.
Read and understand the requirements of the hazardous location standards to ensure product certifications are attained within budget and schedule requirements.
Evaluate pending/upcoming regulatory & environmental changes to standards and recommend course or action for Badger Meter to take in order to support compliance requirements.
Attend agency discussion meetings as needed to offer Badger Meter's position to upcoming regulation changes, As needed.
Act as New Product Development or Project lead engineer for Product Regulatory Compliance actions, including hands-on detailed design review of electrical device designs. Lead team to achieve the specific certification required.
Train development groups on best practices of electronic/electrical, mechanical & system design for product certifications in hazardous location or CE.
Interface with corporate legal counsel to discuss impact of proposed regulatory changes.
Define scope of projects and costs related to product certification, develop/provide input to project schedules and budgets and execute schedule/budgets to meet targets per approved project schedule.
Obtain Agency Certification quotations from global agencies relative to new/maintenance projects; prepare associated Purchase Request documentation.
Develop Critical Components Lists with Lead Engineer for agency submittals, as required.
Coordinate transfer of test samples to agencies/testing resources and publishing latest versions of test reports and certification documents.
Up to 15% travel required.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field required.
7+ years of related specific work experience with UL, CSA, FM, IEC Ex and ATEX certifications and testing desired
Qualifications:
Intermediate proficiency using Microsoft Software suite
Familiarity with Lean and related manufacturing processes required.
Knowledge of CSA/UL or CE standards as they apply to electronic devices
Knowledge of electronic circuitry/pcbs commonly used in hazardous location applications and CE (EMC/LVD) certifications
Ability to determine risk and define mitigation methods.
Ability to generate basic financial/business justifications and recommendations required.
