Where will you be working?
Brookside Intensive Treatment Unit (ITU) is located in Great Barrington, MA and helps girls ages 6 21 who have serious emotional and behavior challenges. Many of these students have had a hard time in other placements or have been in and out of hospitals. Our goal is to help break that cycle and find what works for each child.
We offer a safe place where students can stabilize and receive a full evaluation from a team of professionals. Each student is different, so we create a personalized plan based on their unique needs and strengths. With small classes, more staff support, and fewer students per clinician, we re able to give each child the attention they need.
After the evaluation, we make a plan for what s next this could mean moving to a less-restrictive program, returning home, or continuing care at Brookside if more support is still needed.
At Hillcrest, we re focused on helping each student make real progress and find a stable, long-term path forward.
This position is perfect for anyone passionate about working with children and considering a future career in teaching. As a Teacher s Assistant, you ll gain valuable classroom experience while receiving support to grow whether that means pursuing a teaching degree or moving into a different role over time.
