Job DescriptionBright Minds Inc. is a licensed HIT (High-Impact Tutoring) provider through OSSE for the 2024-2025 school year. Our REAL (Racial Equity in Academic Learning) HIT program provides individualized academic programs in high-priority DC schools. We are a franchise of the Huntington Learning Center, one of the largest tutoring companies in the country. Our DC HIT programs last year produced excellent results at our partner schools, with an average of over 5 months of grade level progress per student. The Student - Tutor-Writing position works in the Writing Center to provide academic writing support to their Stevenson University undergraduate peers. Primary responsibilities include meeting with students in one-on-one sessions, offering support at various stages of the writing process, and participating in relevant training and professional development opportunities. Essential Functions Provide one-on-one support for students at any stage of the writing process through scheduled appointments and/or drop-in hours.
