Garyville's Process Engineering team is a dynamic and collaborative environment responsible for understanding, analyzing, and improving the production units at the Garyville site. The team's key stakeholders include the production operators they support, the maintenance & reliability group, and the planning group. The Process Engineer role is key in reaching site and organizational goals related to safety, performance, TPM, and customer service. The Process Engineer is an individual contributor that will be responsible for specific production units on the Garyville site. This means the engineer will learn the chemical processes that take place in the unit, build relationships with the operators that run those processes, and communicate the KPIs and challenges of the unit's planned production. Once a basic understanding of the unit is in place, the Process Engineer will be responsible for maintaining a safe and compliant workplace, implementing process changes in the unit, and working with appropriate stakeholders (QA, TPM, Maintenance, Capital) to improve unit efficiency and performance. Each process engineer is responsible for different units and processes, but it's necessary to work with other engineers and departments to achieve the best solutions. Develop and maintain facilities master plans for maintenance (structural integrity) and improvements including communal areas, roofs, HVAC, plumbing, sewers, floors, etc. Manage interface with Company Risk Management Manager and Insurance Provider (currently FM Global). Manage the utilities department and systems at the plant. Ensure proper maintenance of all utility's equipment including the use of appropriate Operations Excellence standards and PSM requirements. Work Environment Outside in a heavy manufacturing dirty environment. Subject to weather impact - heat, cold, rain, sleet. Physical Demands Prolonged standing in the units. Requirements Ten plus years of management and leadership experience in engineering, maintenance, and/or operational roles with a focus in reliability management. 5 plus years working in a heavy manufacturing environment, preferably a refinery environment.
