Deceuninck North America is seeking a Process Engineer for its Monroe, OH facility. In this role, the Process Engineer is responsible for the constant review of the manufacturing processes to identify Continuous Improvement (CI) opportunities that will result in increased efficiency, cost savings or customer satisfaction through measurable Key Performance Indicators (KPI). The Process Engineer will also need to have superior communication / presentation skills and the ability to facilitate cross-functional teams from project concept through execution.
Core Responsibilities:
* Analyze, document, own and enforce extrusion parameters, tooling configurations, startup/shutdown protocols, and quality checks, while simplifying decision-making and line setup for operators to remove tribal knowledge and enable consistency shift-to-shift.
* Use material science expertise to optimize the extrusion of rigid PVC window lineals, understanding how compounding, temperature, shear, and line speed impact output.
* Build a culture where no deviation from standard work occurs without this engineer's review and approval, while cultivating a team of technical experts and support personnel to drive best practices across all shifts and lines.
* Spend significant time on the shop floor observing current practices, identifying inefficiencies, and coaching supervisors and operators toward standardization.
* Design and roll out an optimized line layout-machinery, tools, materials, and flow-then scale those practices across the entire extrusion department.
* Monitor key metrics (OEE, scrap, uptime, etc.), perform root cause analyses, lead corrective action implementation, and drive accountability for sustained results.
* Oversee end-to-end project management activities for high value, high impact strategic initiatives that create value for the business, improve facility performance, enhance work environments, support sustainability, and reduce operational costs.
* Participate in the CAPEX budget process for DNA, collaborating with finance and maintenance teams to prepare budgets for future years, and lead the development and updating of the capital plan aligned with departmental strategic plans and business priorities.
* Manage contingencies between multiple projects, monitor interdependencies and synergies, and lead status meetings with department leaders and internal customers.
* Secure, lead, motivate, and inspire internal and external resources to effectively deliver programs and projects, while establishing governance structures and managing external vendors.
* Act as the primary technical authority for extrusion process decisions and escalate noncompliance immediately to executive leadership
* Communicate project plans, status, and risks to key stakeholders using various communication methods.
Qualifications:
* 3+ years of extrusion, injection molding, or similar process experience including demonstrated authority over process standards.
* Significant engineering experience within a manufacturing environment with proven ability to influence production leadership.
* Prior experience leading individuals
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Work, PowerPoint, Outlook)
* Knowledge of statistical analysis software and reporting (Minitab, etc.)
* Strong project management skills and tools
* Lean Green Belt or Black Belt required (Black Belt Highly desired)
* Prior experience working with vendors / contractors related to building renovations, capital equipment purchase / installations, decommissioning equipment.
* Ability to work collaboratively with employees at all levels of the organization from the shop floor to the executive level, with a track record of driving accountability.

• Maintain the ERP routings for all part numbers within Dayton SI group.

Job Summary:
Responsible for driving improvements in manufacturing operations through data-driven process analysis, optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role focuses on enhancing process efficiency, reducing operational costs, improving product quality, and maximizing throughput. The Process Engineer works closely with production, quality, maintenance, and engineering teams to standardize manufacturing processes and implement Lean and Six Sigma best practices.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•Identify and mitigate safety hazards in the manufacturing environment through proactive risk assessments and workplace audits.
•Lead and support continuous improvement projects across machining, fabrication, assembly, and finishing processes.
•Optimize manufacturing process flow, cycle times, and material handling to improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) and reduce downtime.
•Utilize Lean Manufacturing tools (e.g., value stream mapping, Kaizen, 5S, SMED) and Six Sigma methodologies (DMAIC, SPC, RCA) to identify root causes and implement sustainable solutions.
•Develop standardized work instructions, process documentation, and visual management tools to improve operational consistency.
•Conduct time studies, process capability analysis, and cost-benefit evaluations to support capital investment and ROI decisions.
•Engage with plant operators, technicians, and supervisors to gather process feedback and ensure frontline input is integrated into process improvements.
•Track and report key process metrics including scrap rate, yield, production throughput, takt time, and labor utilization.
•Collaborate with cross-functional teams on the introduction of new equipment, process validation, and manufacturing scalability efforts.
Minimum Education and/or Experience Requirements:
•Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related technical discipline.
•Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in a high-volume manufacturing or industrial process engineering role.
•Proven background in implementing Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma projects.
•Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred.
•Proficiency in manufacturing analytics, process simulation, and ERP/MES systems is a plus.

In this role you will
:
Initiate and supervise programs related to metal and plastic and metal finishing programs. Generate metal and plastic finishing specifications and manufacturing layouts and consults with engineering and quality.
Establish and track required connector quality assurance testing weekly and monthly such as salt spray, tabor abrasion, corrosion of conversion coatings as defined by military and customer specifications, provide troubleshooting and failure analysis of plating finishes.
Identify and evaluate new plating systems for product improvement and cost reduction.
Provide engineering support to customer inquiries as required.
Review and revise existing processes and documentation to affirm validity.
Coordinate corrective action for out of control events in production. Answer corrective actions and establish procedures to correct manufacturing process defects.
Provide immediate process/troubleshooting assistance to support team effort in meeting delivery and quality goals.
Provide support to plating team in meeting safety and environmental goals.

Position Summary:
The Process Engineer will support continuous improvement projects and product process development activities at the DSG Canusa Fairfield Site. The Process Engineer is a subject matter expert (SME) as it relates to process engineering and is accountable for supporting process improvement initiatives and delivering world class process design and improvements to support the business.
