ATI is hiring a Manufacturing Engineer (Performance Engineer) for our Millersburg, OR facility in the Fabrication Department. This is an onsite position. This is a key role in analyzing and monitoring our overall equipment effectiveness and driving issues to resolution. This is the perfect role for someone with an engineering degree who wants to get an introduction into a successful manufacturing company, working across different business functions, and use their engineering education or experience. You will identify improvements and implement effective solutions through collaboration with the appropriate functions and teams. Primary Responsibilities Own and eliminate production losses, whether in utilization, yield, or uptime, to ensure effective solutions are implemented. Evaluates and categorizes production losses for proper classification for targeted improvement efforts. Record, analyze, and interpret production deviation data to determine trends and opportunities for performance improvement. Determines and prioritizes corrective actions to close operational performance gaps. Review daily operating logs to identify equipment reliability issues and collaborate with teams to address challenges. Partner with reliability engineers to identify and address equipment losses to ensure long-term reliability improvements. Works with the Capability Leader to determine solutions for mitigating losses due to operating discipline. Monitors and analyzes the effectiveness of the reliability program to ensure performance targets are met and areas for improvement are addressed. Lead criticality analysis for equipment within the area, focusing on high-priority equipment. Identifies needs and resources for Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and the appropriate level of investigation for issues that arise. Provides input to turnaround scope for availability and equipment reliability opportunities that cannot be addressed during regular operations. Evaluate improvement proposals to uncover their true value and alignment with business goals. Provides subject matter expertise in support of key performance improvement initiatives. Support manufacturing initiatives and improvements of Laser Engine manufacturing processes Drive yield and cost improvements and support capacity increases Work on customer RMA events, providing robust containment and resolution and using an 8D report format Determine root cause and corrective actions to resolve manufacturing issues involving noncompliant product or material. Requirements Minimum Qualifications B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related field Solid grasp of design, heat-transfer, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and materials.
