Responsibilities

Work Environment

Travel may be necessary towards the end of the year if required.

Responsibilities:
Conceptualize and create automated and mechanical solutions for industrial structures and equipment.
Utilize Solidworks software to create detailed designs and drawings that optimize fabrication shop processes and minimize production lead times.
Conduct design reviews and provide feedback to improve manufacturability and efficiency.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, engineering, and production to develop manufacturable designs
Develop manufacturing processes by designing and modifying equipment for fabricating, building, assembling, and installing components.
Adhere to project deadlines and budgetary constraints.
Maintains product and company reputation by complying with government regulations.
Complete all daily job ticketing reports through LJ's electronic ticketing system, including job numbers, details of work performed, and work hours.
Understand, adhere to, and promote MIOSHA, OSHA, & MSHA, safety rules & regulations
Experience in one or more of the following:
SolidWorks 3D Modeling Software - Required
Microsoft Office Suite
Aggregate Conveyor Design
System Level Understanding of Aggregate Processing/Sorting Equipment
Structural Steel Weldment Design/Analysis
Hopper/Chute Design with the ability to estimate material flow and wear points
Design of Platforms, Stairways, & Safety Guarding per MSHA/OSHA regulations
Knowledge of Manufacturing/Fabrication Processes

Manufacturing Engineer Responsibilities:
Lead development, optimization, and documentation of existing and new manufacturing and distribution processes.
