TEMPERING Tempering is the second step in our production, 85% of our glass is tempered and once cut must be sent through the oven to create tempered glass. Glass will be seamed, and our SGCC Certification logo engraved on the glass before entering the oven. Once the raw glass has been tempered in the oven our operators at the outfeed will unload and label all freshly tempered glass. Then prepare it to be delivered to the next department. Production Responsibilities Attend pre-shift meetings and give feedback Stack and sort glass on racks for the next step. Complete hourly SGCC quality tests at the furnace. Inspect quality with the line scanner and other visual aids. Tracking and managing daily incompletes and understand production goals and outputs. Communicate issues with your supervisor IE (Need to walk off the line); and report any safety concerns or incidents. Learn to operate all functions of TEMPERING (Outfeed, Midfeed, Infeed) Wear safety gear on the floor at all times (kevlar pullover, helmet, glasses, pants, etc.). Wear Showa gloves when handling Soft coat glass. Operate and troubleshoot machinery in your department. Keep area clean and organized; Know where your exits and fire extinguishers are in your department. M-F 7:30am-4:00pm

Employee will work independently and in a team environment under moderate guidance and in accordance with company policy and safety procedures to achieve productivity goals. The Machine Molding Operator performs a range of production tasks and operates a variety of production machinery. Ensures a safe work environment with an ultimate goal of zero accidents. Required Skills Job Core Responsibilities · Performs a range of production tasks such as operating subassembly equipment, coating equipment, ovens, material handling equipment including hoists, cranes, tow motors, pallet trucks, and other miscellaneous equipment. · Prepare urethane machine for molding and demolding urethane parts. · Conducts inspections of own work to insure correctness in accordance with company specifications. · Applies process specifications governing the production of product within an assigned cell, records production time and quantity data. · Maintains work area under company guidelines and participates in events as required. · Completes troubleshooting while operating equipment, including performing and documenting limited preventative maintenance. · Monitors, measures, and records quality assurance data including, but not limited to, operating process data, work orders and other specific process information. · Moves material to enable the production process flows efficiently and effectively. · Comprehends and accurately follows specific detailed operational instructions and prints for job and setup operations. · Follows specific quality criteria to maintain quality system requirements. · Observes safe work practices, maintains a safe and clean work environment, and wears the appropriate personal protective equipment. · Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance is required. May need to overtime and weekends as necessary. · Other responsibilities as assigned.
