Primary Job Function This bonus eligible position develops setups and installs various types of hardware per customer prints and manufacturer specifications. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Follows department standard operating procedures. Performs setup of hardware machines per manufacturer recommendation. Utilizes the correct tooling to ensure that hardware is secure, sits flush, protects threads, in the proper quantities, in the proper holes, to required torque in/out values. Performs a broad range of simple to highly complex configurations, utilizing multiple types, lengths and widths in an array of patterns and flanges. Installs pop rivets into complete units and sub-assemblies per customer prints. Assemblies must meet cosmetic standards and function per customer needs. Follows established safety protocols including required usage of PPE; helps to maintain a safe working environment. Keeps work area clean and organized. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications and Experience Minimum skills, knowledge, education, certifications and related job experience that employee typically must have to perform essential functions of the job acceptably. Knowledge of and ability to properly use a rivet gun and various types and makes of hardware and pop rivets. Strong blueprint reading, math and measurement skills. Strong inspection skills. Ability to determine whether hardware types, lengths and sizes are correct, and that installation does not harm thread. Ability to understand proper setup and pop rivet new product lines and assure the correct head types, grip lengths and material type rivets are being used. Ability to develop effective methods for installing hardware into parts or pop riveting assemblies. Strong attention to detail. Machine Operators have sharp attention to detail and strong focus to ensure quality in the tea manufacturing process. Following strict GMP's and food safety guidelines, Machine Operators, observe, inspect, monitor and track high-speed packaging machines to ensure all tea products are expertly crafted to specification. Role Summary Machine Operators follow specific processes to manufactured tea products in compliance with CFR 111, dietary supplement regulations. A Machine Operator functions within a team-style work environment to accurately follow procedures, track quality standards, apply expert knowledge to keep machinery running and complete documentation throughout the production process. Role Responsibilities: Essential functions of the role, but are not limited to the following: Machine Operation 70 % of time • Runs equipment to meet or exceed standard production rates with minimal packaging material scrap. • Communicates any hazards or unsafe actions to the supervisor, lead, or maintenance immediately. • Replenishes supplies, such as overwrap, boxes, cartons, glue, wire, filter paper or labels. • Can understand, interpret, and act on conditions out of tolerance. • Follow company policies and procedures, safety practices and GMP's. • Rotate workstations often for variety and training opportunities - including conveyors, automated case packing, Mespic system, upper mezzanine, and manual packing assignments as needed. • Stand in for breaks and filling personnel gaps. Quality Monitoring 30 % of time • Continually inspect tea bags and finished products to ensure that the product stream stays clean, error free, within specification, food safe and of high quality. • Observes machine operation to detect problems that impact quality. • Ensures that reporting and tracking is complete, accurate and timely. • Performs quality checks within allotted time frame. Other duties as assigned by Leads and Supervisors. Minimum Requirements: • 2+ years' experience in a manufacturing production environment. • Basic math and computer skills. • Must be able to attend work on a regular and reliable basis; show up on time and work overtime and weekends when requested. Reporting to the Mining Production Supervisor, the Mining Production Leading Hand is a key role, responsible for facilitating the safe and efficient daily mining activities as well as the successful of execution of mining production and development projects. This is a permanent full-time role which operates on an 8:6 7:7 FIFO roster from Perth or DIDO in the Pilbara region. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Mining: Ensuring the mining face is set up for safe mining and compliance to PLS procedures. Ensuring the direction of mining is in line with the correct extraction of clean ore that minimises ore loss and dilution. Work with the survey and geology teams to coordinate the timing of mark ups and drop in/lift guidance to not impact production. Ensuring floors at dig units/loading bays are on correct grade. Ensure TBMs are always present. Ensuring the dump locations are set up, safe and compliant. Liaising with production co-ordinators and engineers to understand the dump progression requirements. Works in the field to reduce hang time, reduce queue time to keep trucks moving by directing people and equipment movements where required. Development: Set up and maintain traffic management in all work areas to be complaint to PLS procedures and aligns with industry standards. Monitor and maintain road signage and delineation, ensuring cleanliness, compliance, and proper storage. Ensuring drill pattern compliance for windrow heights for separation to HME and pit edges. Ensuring drill pattern floors are suitable for drilling and blast personnel on foot. Ensuring drill and blast access ways are positioned to minimise vehicle interaction. Liaising with Geo Techs to ensure final walls are scaled to a high standard with no rework. Managing the rock breaker movements between the ROM and in pit. Facilitate and execute projects such as new haul road construction, go lines, fuel bays, land clearing, walking the LUC with operators, topsoil relocation. ABOUT YOU As an experienced Mining Production Leading Hand, you will ideally have: Proven experience in a relevant leadership role involving open-cut mining operations and development projects. Proven experience in with selective mining processes in a hard-rock open-cut mining environment. Strong knowledge of mining equipment, processes, safety regulations, and compliance standards. Familiarity with WA DMIRS guidelines, industry best practices and WHS risks. S26 Statutory Supervisor qualification. Effective communication, leadership, and project management skills. A proven track-record of achieving production targets in mining operations, as well as reducing cycle times and improving efficiency metrics. Current WA Driver's Licence: HR preferred.
