Read and interpret STERIS blueprints, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) including travelers, and other working documents. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Review and follow steps outlined in the Operation Standard each day before producing parts 5s Principles must be a priority Scrap parts that do not meet specifications Regrinds or disposes of scrap Reports any equipment malfunction and/or quality problem to team coordinator Accurately record scrap & press downtime in Plex Performs PVL (confirms that label applied to container matches parts packed in container) Reports any accidents, incidents, or hazardous situations to the Process Coordinator immediately Keep Floater, Coordinator, or Process Tech apprised of material or tooling needs ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: May drive a forklift to load/unload parts and/or materials if eligible to obtain KMA forklift license May help conduct periodic inventory May train new press operators Any other duties as assigned by Molding Department Management EDUCATIONAL / EXPERIENCE: None Required QUALIFICATIONS: Requires ability to stand for the entire shift Requires ability to bend, stoop, or kneel frequently Requires ability to work in a noisy industrial environment Requires mental alertness to procedures/changes and to call for assistance when needed Ability to keep up with moderate-speed conveyor line Manual dexterity required Satisfactory work records, including attendance Ability to lift 12 to 35 lbs Willingness to work overtime during the week and weekends when needed High degree of attention and care required to prevent injury to self and others
