As a Production Tech, you'll be an essential part of the process of turning raw cannabis flower into our beautiful line of medicated products. Under the guidance of the management team, you will produce, package, and handle products, perform inventory duties, adhere to compliance requirements, and keep safety as your top priority while working daily in our facility. Here at GTI, we are looking for true team players who are the perfect hybrid between precision and energy.
Full time only, M-F 8am-430pm, overtime available occasionally. $18.50/hr, going to $19/hr at 90 days.
Responsibilities
Deliver on production goals, while focused on safety and quality
Produce product per recipes and SOP's, maintaining high quality standards
Package product into proper containers with proper labeling to ensure compliance with state regulations
Ensure all standards for processing procedures and laboratory protocols are followed
Compliance with local and state regulations
Adherence to quality control methods throughout entire process
Documentation of manufacturing methods are created and maintained
Electronically convert packaged products in the state traceability system
Manage time efficiently to meet goals while consistently producing quality product
Practice good housekeeping habits throughout the facility with focus and personal contributions towards a clean and organized assigned work area at the end of the assigned shift
Exhibit competency in basic organizational skills, communication skills and Windows based operating software
Use independent judgment regarding product processing, keeping quality and goals in mind
Help create a positive environment by having a positive attitude and by being self-motivated

Qualifications
High School Education or GED graduate; some college or college graduate preferred
1-2 years' experience in manufacturing, food processing, warehousing, and/or inventory preferred
Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered
Must be able to work well in a group and independently; demonstrate self-motivation and initiative
Must be able to adapt quickly to changes in policy, procedure, and technique
Employee must exhibit personal hygiene and follow the health guidelines set forth by GTI
Ability to listen well and communicate effectively with various audiences
Ability to perform monotonous tasks with great efficiency without losing qualities
Must be able to follow basic instructions and accept constructive criticism
Prior cannabis experience not required
Additional Requirements
Must have a valid driver's license or State ID card
Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
Must pass all required background checks
Must be and remain compliant with all legal and company regulations for working in the industry

Working Conditions
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to perform reaching, grasping, bending, stooping, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.
Must be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time while maintaining focus.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be able to lift, carry, and balance up to 50 pounds AND must be able to do so with extreme care and caution when working with product.
Work involves daily exposure to allergens (such as cannabis, tree nuts, and coconut oil).

* Proactively "connect the dots" on emerging trends and issues and lead/influence cross functional teams to drive resolutions and minimize impact to compliance and delivery of safe and reliable supply
* Maintain on-site presence at CMO facilities for extended periods (including off hours/weekends) to oversee (i) critical program activities, (ii) clinical and commercial batch manufacturing until the CMO is sustainably executing operations, and (iii) Health Authority inspections.
* Leverage Technical, Quality and Regulatory SMEs to provide guidance to CMOs and ensure cross-functional alignment on program priorities and deliverables from clinical through commercial manufacturing and supply.
* Liaise closely with internal and CMO stakeholders and leadership to drive Vertex business operations priorities including but not limited to (i) contract management (including tracking KPIs and metrics e.g. for batch release, inventory targets and schedule attainment), (ii) forecast communication and schedule alignment, (iii) supplier governance (including Vertex Quality/other audits) and (iii) finance (e.g. issuance of POs and reconciliation/validation of invoices; tracking of spend vs budget).

* Work closely with CMO and internal Quality and Technical teams to prioritize, monitor, track, review and deliver required compliance documentation (including but not limited to change controls, investigations and deviations, batch data, CAPA effectiveness, internal/external audit observation deadlines, regulatory commitments) to meet Vertex program requirements.
* Identify and escalate business-critical issues to Commercial Manufacturing and Supply Chain, CMC, and Quality leadership.
* Collaborate with CMO and internal stakeholders to understand planned changes and manage the end-to-end implementation of agreed changes including but not limited to change controls and impact assessments.
* Lead continuous improvement initiatives to affect timely resolution of supply issues.

Minimum Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree required, ideally in cell biology, or closely related in Life Sciences disciplines (Immunology, Microbiology, Cell Biology, Engineering, etc.) with 10+ years of relevant experience in biotech or pharmaceutical industries, ideally in a senior manufacturing/operations leadership role working with or in cGMP facilities within the biotechnology industry.

Prepares buffer solutions and properly stores process intermediates. Able to independently manufacture in stock buffers
Performs pH and buffer adjustments accordingly.
Performs calculations for processing.
Weighs all powders, chemicals, and reagents needed and performs all calculations, preparations and reagent additions.
Recognizes and identifies mechanical, chemical, and safety hazards to the proper individuals.
Is capable of working in multiple roles associated with the manufacturing of solutions.
