**Production Technician III - Williamson, NY**
The Production Technician is responsible for the complete operation and changeover of assigned machines within PhD and all other associated work. This includes safely maintaining, repairing, replacing and assisting in modifying all processing, packaging, and facility equipment in accordance with on-line quality and Best Practice procedures.
**Shift / Schedule:** This is a union facility so flexibility to work any day or any night shift pattern is required.Positions are mainly 8/hr positions, with few 12hr shifts available but not guaranteed; based on seniority.

Take Apart:
Handle multiple product sizes performing manual labeling, separation, and dicing of gratings.
Perform hand trimming and successful take apart using a variety of take apart fixtures and mechanical tools.
Saw:
Loads and unloads products onto the dicing saw (1-5 lbs). Aligns the plate using white light. Runs program for requested size. Once program is complete unloads the product. Rise product off with water and blow dry using compressed air. Breaks apart diced parts and label per work instructions.
Layout/Inspection:
Inspect optics to ensure customer specifications are met Accurately complete required documentation for each job processed Learn to recognize part defects
Testing:
Knowledge of Microsoft Excel a big plus. Knowing how to read graphs created and how to manipulate data Attention to detail is a must, verify test data is accurate, ensure (make sure the test data paperwork is correct, alignment of the instruments, &c) Some understanding of metrology equipment a plus but not necessary

2. Sets up and runs experiments and/or test apparatus following clear instructions. Operates some or all of the following: electrical test stations and software, cathode printing equipment and software, microscopes, micrometer, retical, metallograph, scales, data recording software, OCV meters, cameras, XRF, laser marker, plasma cleaner, spot welder or other measuring devices.
3. Performs failure analysis, initial troubleshooting and repairs including but not limited to checking system accuracy, carriers and racks are properly functioning, and calibrations Handles rack check operations.
4. Performs routine product analysis using standard procedures making accept/reject decisions based on product documents.
5. Compiles and summarizes results of tests for evaluation by engineering support teams.
6. Manages visual inspection processes on routine parts to confirm product quality. This includes decision on pass/fail of product quality.
7. Complies and completes documentation including but not limited to: reports, RMAs, DIRs, SDRs, LDRs, cell codes, work orders, SOKs to required specifications and procedures based on product type.
8. Handles 5S cleaning of all equipment outlined in #2 to ensure long term equipment and product quality.
9. Performs other functions as required
Minimum Education:
High school graduate. Associate's Degree preferred but not required.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
* Fills batches according to the instructions on the batch tickets and according to the supervisor's direction and priority.
* Sets up all filling equipment needed for the job. This includes but is not limited to filling heads, tapers, heat sealers and cappers. Checking the packaging sheet for each job to ensure the correct caps, bottles, inserts, etc. are being used.
* Programs the instrument to fill to the correct fill heights based on the package size.

SUMMARY:
