The Project Engineer (PE) supports the Project Manager (PM) and Project Superintendent to facilitate a well-managed project. The PE works successfully with and responds promptly to requests from the PM to achieve goals and assists with the overall management and administration of projects, including pre-construction services, subcontractor management, RFI's, and the submittal process.
Job Responsibilities
Develops an understanding of construction safety practices and has the ability to stop work if unsafe conditions exist.
Has a good grasp of construction terminology and a solid understanding of construction processes.
Estimates CORs and assists in bidding, assembling an estimate, and subcontractor coordination.
Understands all costs associated with a change request and aids the PM with change requests, Owner & Subcontractor change orders, and other items as needed.
Reviews and tracks schedules to learn project flow.
Ensures documentation and compliance by maintaining drawing revision logs, requesting pricing for changes in work, and evaluating/preparing/distributing RFIs.
Reviews & processes submittals accurately and identifies key items of coordination for PM & Superintendent to review.
Assists Superintendent in subcontract management by distributing drawings to subs and working on the submittal schedule and procurement process.
Takes the lead role in the project closeout documentation.
Tracks quantities for Self-Performed Work (SPW) productivity for monthly cost reports.
Assists in running and completing meeting agendas.
Completes contingency and allowance logs, etc.
Performs additional responsibilities as assigned.
Education & Experience
Minimum required - Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
Knowledge & Skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word.
Previous experience using Viewpoint, Heavy Job, Heavy Bid, and Hammer Tech preferred.

You will
Create thermal simulation models from CAD to simulate HVAC systems for rack level, room level, and clean room performance.

Design, improve, and manage manufacturing processes to maximize efficiency and product quality in high density burn in rooms
Optimize liquid cooled production lines, troubleshooting equipment failures, implementing quality control standards, and designing new manufacturing systems and workstations.
Control costs for liquid production facilities.
Interpret sensor log data and analyze presenting into human readable formats but also according to various customer's specifications using engineering principles.
Operate and configure building management systems as pertains to thermal management systems
Present test reports to customers and accept customer feedback
Perform temperature measurements using thermocouples and IoT sensors.
Collect data logs from test tools in Linux or Windows
Observe and report unexpected results or possible areas of opportunity

You have
Bachelor's degree in Thermal Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering with strong emphasis on thermal engineering or equivalent experience.
Experience with CDUs of all types including Liquid to Liquid, Liquid to Air, and Liquid to Refrigerant.
Experience designing facility cooling plumbing systems (either chilled water or glycol based)
Must have actually built, tested and refined project designs.
Strong working knowledge of CFD and CAD software.
Experience with thermocouples, IR cameras, airflow sensors, and power measurement.
Experience working within a manufacturing environment.
Experience building personal computers or servers.
Experience with environmental chambers.
Fluency in Linux command line operation

Assist with creating Estimates in Xactimate utilizing the program guidelines and IICRC standards.

What You'll Do:
Oversee and manage mitigation projects from start to finish
Lead crews, coordinate schedules, and ensure quality work
Communicate with clients, adjusters, and team members to keep projects on track
Conduct site inspections, create scopes of work, and document progress
Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety protocols
What We're Looking For:
Restoration experience - Strong knowledge of Insurance, Restoration, and Construction industry including Water, Fire, or Mold Mitigation (IICRC Certifications a Plus!)
Leadership mentality - You can take charge and motivate a team
Self Starter - Able to work independently
Hands-on attitude - You're not afraid to jump in and get things done
Strong communication skills - You're great with customers and problem-solving and you use proper grammar, with minimal errors
Additional Job Responsibilities and Requirements

Working on-call schedule is required

Requirements
Education
Bachelor of Science degree from an ABET-accredited institution in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Architecture, or equivalent experience.
Management degree preferred but not required.
Experience
10+ years in engineering, construction, or project management roles within the Industrial space (increasing with seniority).
Multidiscipline project design experience.
Demonstrated experience in electric vehicle (EV) systems and advanced battery technologies, including design, integration, and performance optimization.
Familiarity with commissioning, startup, and construction support tasks.
Proven ability to manage complex projects and lead diverse teams.
Experience in manufacturing and industrial construction environment.
Experience in overseeing industrial projects from conception and design to completion and startup.
Skills
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and project management tools.
Strong organizational and planning abilities.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues under pressure.
Leadership qualities with the ability to teach and mentor others.
Certifications
