Automated Web QA Test Engineer
Cipherstaff
Quality assurance lead job in Sarasota, FL
Direct hire job. Seeking Automated Browser-based QA Test Engineer. Remote job but applicants in Florida, Columbus, OH or Arlington, VA preferred. More details below. Eastern time zone a must. Pay target range from $80,00 - $110,000 with full benefits but will depend on experience. Must be ok with working for a smaller SW Enterprise firm numbering less than 100 employees. Min 2 yrs experience required. Automation testing required. Selenium, Web browser based testing and/or .net/c# experience highly desired. Description
Firm is seeking a QA Analyst / Test Engineer to join the product development team. This is a key role on a small but mighty team building and supporting a web-based .NET SaaS application in the licensing and credentialing space.
In this position you will be primarily responsible for automating quality assurance tasks. On any given day you may find yourself:
Automating browser-based testing using Selenium (or similar tool)
Supporting product developers with the creation of automated, non-browser-based integration tests (using C# and NUnit)
Triaging, fixing, or maintaining existing automated tests (we have a very large library of UI tests)
Working independently or collaboratively with others, as the situation demands
As a member of the QA team, you could also be asked to contribute with manual testing as needed. (We have a strong preference for automation, but sometimes automation isn't feasible; in those cases you may need to work with the team to validate the expected results by hand)
Lastly, you may occasionally need to use your coding skills to fix issues, not just find them. We're a small team and the lines between "dev" and "QA" sometimes blur.
Key indicators of success in this role are a tester's mindset, an ability to manage complexity, a commitment to continual improvement, proven teamwork and communication skills, an understanding of software design principles, and a sense of humor. Prior experience working remotely is a definite advantage.

Our Columbus-based product team is fully remote and makes liberal use of Teams, Yammer, and email to remain connected.
We believe that "face time" is important and those of us within driving distance of Columbus occasionally get together for happy hours, team outings, or co-working sessions.
