Job Description As a QA tester will perform procedures to ensure that all information systems products and services of the company's consumer and/or trade facing products meet minimum company standards and end-user requirements. Specifically working within the web and/or other teams you will be responsible for managing resources, planning and executing tests, quality assurance, for our customer facing systems. You will team up with other IT resources to support the business by ensuring that all problems and issues are addressed in a professional and timely manner. Other duties may apply. Qualifications Experience in testing web applications Excellent verbal and written communication skills Read and understand requirements Create test plans Create test scripts Execute test plans and test scripts Software development life cycle Testing development life cycle Experience with the following preferred Mercury Test Director/Mercury Quality Center or related Working knowledge of business process analysis, concepts, practices and procedures within a particular field Capable of working independently and as part of a team Strong with methodologies, tools, best practices and processes within specific area of responsibility Additional Information Travel Description: This position requires a valid US passport. Travel is not paid from the contractor's home location to the site. For travel between the company's locations', major travel expenses (air, car rental, lodging, some meals) will be booked and may be prepaid by the company. Contractor will be reimbursed for meals and incidental expenses according to organization's travel policy. Contractor must have access to a major credit card for travel expenses. Standard work week: Our normal business hours are 9 am - 6 pm M-F. All candidates must be available to work those hours. Some weekend and overtime work may be required. Other comments: Overtime and working hours outside the standard business day may be required. Amount of OT may increase as we get closer to the go-live date of the project.
