We are seeking an analytical chemist with general laboratory experience including creation of standards/spiking mixes, sample preparation, and sample analysis as well as familiarity with GC/MS, FTIR, percent moisture determination, LC-MS/MS, HPLC-UV, and/or Raman analytical platforms. The focus of this role will be on providing technical support to Signature Science's quality assurance (QA) contracts for defense and homeland security programs as well as commercial proficiency testing (PT) programs, including HazMat PT, hemp/cannabis PT, and custom PT programs. The successful candidate will also support internal Signature Science quality programs through maintenance of the quality management system and QA laboratory support.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist with planning and implementation of chemical analysis proficiency tests for methods such as gas chromatograph mass spectrometry (GC/MS), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), percent moisture determination, liquid chromatography with tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS), high performance liquid chromatography - ultraviolet (HPLC-UV), and Raman. Activities include developing proficiency test plans, performing laboratory pilot testing, preparing and verifying proficiency test samples, and packaging samples for shipment.
Perform laboratory activities related to the preparation and verification of proficiency test samples, as detailed below:
o Creation of standards/spiking mixes,
o Sample creation,
o Sample extraction/dilution, and sample analysis, using techniques such as GC/MS, FTIR, percent moisture determination, LC-MS/MS, HPLC-UV, and Raman.
Maintain laboratory equipment and laboratory records.
Perform laboratory inventories, purchase laboratory supplies, and maintain appropriate purchasing records.
Evaluate special study and proficiency test data, identify data trends and other issues, and help prepare reports.
Lead or assist with the validation and/or verification of new methods
Contribute to the development and revision of internal and external quality documents based on ISO/IEC 17025, ISO/IEC 17043, ISO 17034, and Clinical Laboratory Improvement Program (CLIP) standards, as applicable.
Perform internal audits of Signature Science systems and procedures against relevant internal or external standards such as ISO/IEC 17025, ISO/IEC 17043, and ISO 17034.
Regularly communicate with internal laboratory staff to help resolve laboratory or other quality-related issues.
Other activities may include:
o Assisting client laboratories in preparing for external ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation audits and attend assessments as an advocate for the client laboratory
o Communicating with external laboratory staff to help resolve QA, PT, or other quality-related issues
o Providing feedback and help prepare auditee corrective actions packets for submission to the accreditation body or certification body
o Providing ISO/IEC 17025 training or training on other quality topics to clients
o May serve as a task leader on one or more projects
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
General chemistry laboratory experience (e.g., creation of standards/spiking mixes, sample extraction/dilution, and sample analysis).
Knowledge of and/or experience with GC/MS, FTIR, percent moisture determination, LC-MS/MS, HPLC-UV, and/or Raman analytical platforms.
General quality management experience, preferably in an analytical laboratory setting.
Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.

Purpose: This role is responsible for performing preliminary/incoming inspections, hidden damage inspections, in-process inspections, and final inspections on aircraft operated by the airline. Responsibilities:
Work with the Director of Quality/Chief Inspector to ensure the Quality Control Procedures outlined in the Berry Aviation, Inc. (BAI) General Maintenance Manual are enforced and followed by all personnel.
Work with the Director of Quality/Chief Inspector to establish the policies and procedures outlined in the General Maintenance Manual as they relate to the functions of the inspection department.
Ensure that when maintenance is performed in accordance with the Air Carriers manuals and that all required inspection items (RII) have been inspected, documented and marked as a "RII" on all required inspection records, forms and/or maintenance logs.
Ensure maintenance personnel have and use the most current aircraft/component manufactures maintenance manuals, technical data, and required forms during maintenance.
Ensure that precision tools and test equipment used by maintenance personnel are the proper tools and/or test equipment called out in the applicable maintenance/overhaul manuals and are within the required calibration interval at the time of use.
Ensure aircraft parts and/or components removed by maintenance personnel during the course of maintenance activities have been properly tagged listing the correct disposition to prevent the use of rejected and/or unserviceable parts.
Ensure the procedures for "Segregation and Handling of Parts" as outlined in the General Maintenance Manual is being followed by all personnel.
Perform daily in-process inspections on aircraft undergoing maintenance, repair and/or overhaul to assure all worked performed meets the requirements outlined in the General Maintenance Manual and 14 CFR Part 43.
Perform daily in-process reviews of all inspection records, forms and tags to ensure maintenance personnel are signing off inspection checklists progressively and all inspection findings & corrective actions have been documented on the work order with all required information as outlined in the General Maintenance Manual and 14 CFR Part 43.
Ensure that only serviceable and airworthy approved parts are installed as part of the maintenance performed by the repair station.
Monitor shelf life limited parts and materials used by the airline to ensure out of date items are not used on aircraft.
During the daily in-process reviews/Inspections identify maintenance tasks that qualify as a major repair/alteration as outlined in the General Maintenance Manual and 14 CFR Part 43, ensure these tasks are clearly marked on the work order as such. Coordinate with the Lead Mechanic and Director of Quality/Chief Inspector to ensure FAA approved data is available and used to perform the major repair/alteration.
Perform maintenance records audit and finial inspection on a civil aviation article once maintenance is complete, this should include the following:
Review all inspection records, work orders and forms to ensure maintenance personnel have completed and properly signed off all inspection tasks and cleared all open discrepancies.
Ensure all required inspections have been performed and documented as such, this includes any "RII" items.
If any major repairs/alterations were performed verify work was performed in accordance with FAA approved data and the corrective action sign off references the approved data. Execute a FAA Form 337 outlining the work performed and forward to the Director of Quality/Chief Inspector for review and approval. If an AFM supplement was included as part of the major repair/alteration, make sure a copy has been placed in the AFM.
If any work performed require an update to the current aircraft weight and balance, make sure all required forms have been completed and a copy of the updated weight and balance has been placed in the AFM.
If any Airworthiness Directives were complied with verify that the corrective action statement meets the requirements outlined in the General Maintenance Manual.
Close out work order package with the required maintenance release and/or return to service statements as outlined in the General Maintenance Manual
Any other job-related duties as assigned by the Director of Quality/Chief Inspector.

Secondary duties will involve conducting first article inspections, in-process manufacturing inspections, and various dimensional inspections of Staccato products.
Inspecting products according to established Quality and Safety standards.
Read and interpret drawings for dimensional callouts.
Monitor testing procedures and processes to ensure tests are performed according to item specifications, protocols, and standard test methods.
Interpret test results and compare them to the specifications and control limits in place while providing recommendations on the appropriateness of data.
Complete documentation is necessary to support testing procedures.

About this role
Noveon Magnetics is currently searching for an experienced and highly analytical QC/QA Technician to join our production department.
A QC Inspector is responsible for inspecting and testing products throughout the manufacturing process to ensure they meet established quality standards, identifying defects, and reporting any issues to maintain the company's quality control and compliance with industry regulations, often utilizing various testing methods and documenting findings to support continuous improvement initiatives.

What You'll Be Doing:
* Performing visual and physical checks on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to identify any defects or non-conformances.
* Utilizing various testing equipment to measure key product parameters like dimensions, weight, chemical composition, and functionality, ensuring they fall within specified tolerances.
* Recording inspection results, analyzing data trends using statistical process control (SPC) methods, and identifying potential quality issues.
* Regularly checking and calibrating measuring instruments to maintain accuracy and reliability.
* Maintaining detailed records of inspection findings, test results, and non-conformance reports, communicating issues to relevant personnel.
* Following established quality standards and work instructions to ensure consistency in quality checks.
We are looking for someone who:
* Has a high school diploma or equivalent qualification.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies.
* Technical proficiency with relevant testing equipment and methodologies.
* Analytical skills to interpret data and identify trends.
* Excellent documentation and reporting abilities.
* Knowledge of quality management systems like ISO standards.
* Basic understanding of statistical process control (SPC).
* Good communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with different departments.
Physical Requirements:
* Must be able to pass a drug screening, medical physical and, if applicable, visual testing.
* Able to move up to 50lbs.
* Can wear PPE.
* Comfortable standing for long periods of time, up to and exceeding 60 minutes.
* Is capable of making repetitive movements including, but not limited to, sitting, squatting and walking up and down stairs.

* Perform quarantine and receiving inspection of incoming raw materials, controlled manufacturing materials, machined components, labeling instrumentation, and packaging materials. Inspect for conformance to specifications.
* Verify all equipment used is currently calibrated if required.
* Review processing and inspection data for completeness of operations, accuracy of data, traceability of product and materials, and disposition of non-conforming product.
* Using your judgement, interface with other department personnel to clarify, collaborate, and/or correct the information provided, and to solicit required information.
* Maintain documentation of all functions.
* Utilize electronic systems to maintain training records.
* Monitor and maintain processing materials and equipment.
* Verify all equipment used is currently calibrated if required.
Other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
* 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferred
* High School diploma or equivalent
* Reading and understanding written data and instruction
* Good or corrected eyesight for visual inspection and microscope use
* Good manual dexterity for handling small parts
* Ability to tolerate use of acetone and reagent alcohol
* Organized work habits and attention to detail is a must
