What You'll Do: Conduct in-process, final, and first article inspections based on customer blueprints and specifications. Visually inspect parts for surface finishes, and cosmetic criteria. Perform material receiving activities as defined. Collect, record, maintain, and store inspection records electronically for traceability. Read and interpret blueprints, including a comprehensive understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Load, operate, and manage Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) and Visual Coordinate Measuring Machines (VCMMs) for accurate measurements. Requirements: Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required. Two-year certificate or degree in related technical field preferred. 1+ year working in quality inspection in a manufacturing environment; medical device or aerospace preferred. Familiarity with quality management software and ERP systems (Epicor or other) is preferred. PCB Manufacturing | QC Inspector and FAI Inspector Scope: Inspect and evaluate final products to ensure compliance to customer requirements prior to delivery. Essential Job Function: Be able to complete AS 9102 Reports Perform Final Inspection on finished product to ensure compliance to customer requirements. Read customer drawings Perform measurements with measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and pin gages. Perform rework as appropriate, which may include mask touch-up, material removal with an x-acto knife, burnishing, soldering irons, final finish brush plating, sanding Verify acceptability of rework after completion Identify and mark non-conforming product to ensure it is not delivered Prepare standard and AS9102 First Article Reports as needed Verify certifications and reports are complete and accurate and can be used for final acceptance and certification of product Complete Deliverables for Customers and ensure they are complete and accurate Complete department logs and record yield data as required Perform preventative maintenance as defined by department maintenance schedule Support other work areas or departments as required by production or management.
