We are seeking an I/E Quality Control Technician for a position in New Iberia, LA. This role plans and coordinates quality control program designed to ensure continuous production of products consistent with established standards. Non-exempt role; Reports to Site QC Manager or QC Supervisor; Performs a variety of routine duties within established policies.
This position will build I/E packages that include all drawings, specification sheets for all instruments and electrical equipment, and check-off sheets needed for a complete checkout of the completed module. All Conduit, Cable Tray, Lighting, and associated electrical and instrumentation junction boxes will be inspected before being shipped to the client's location. This Role will require the employee to build packages for both sites.
Essential Qualifications:
* High school or equivalent
* Minimum three (3) years of experience in all aspects of welding, quality control, and / or inspection
* Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) preferred
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem solving skills
* Computer Literacy
* Ability to read isometric diagrams, PIDs, CAD drawings, etc.
* Interpreting / Understanding 3D modeling

Functional Requirements:
Develops an understanding and working knowledge of the company quality control program, company standards, procedures, codes, etc. required to perform assigned work; performs inspections and witnesses tests to determine acceptability of work; performs audits to ensure compliance with QA/QC requirements; defines corrective measures for problem areas and ensures implementation; formulates and maintains quality control objectives and supervises workers engaged in plant functions, such as inspection and testing to ensure continuous quality control over materials and production facilities; develops and analyzes statistical data and specifications to indicate present product standards and establish proposed quality and reliability expectancy of finished product; plans, promotes, and organizes quality and reliability activities; maintains work performance records, inspection records and other related items; assures correctness of all documents; perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction

What is an Occupancy Verification?
Mortgage lenders require periodic updates on their properties and to do this they send out independent contractors. The purpose of the property inspection is:
To verify property occupancy.
To report on the general condition of the property using a mobile application.
Most inspections are exterior only. About 10% require interior photos after the property has gone vacant.
We contract with inspectors at a county level. This means that you would be responsible to complete all inspections in your county. In some cases, you will split the county with another inspector if there is enough volume for two inspectors.
Responsibilities
Most common type of inspection should only take 5-6 minutes.
Complete the inspection within 4 days after it is assigned.
Report general property conditions and make a determination of occupancy based on industry standards.
Take 9+ photos of the property with brief comments.
Complete a short form in an app.
Requires being able to spend extended periods of time driving while making numerous stops during the day in the assigned territory.
Requirements (to be considered you must have the following):
Computer with an internet connection
Reliable vehicle (good gas mileage is a plus as you will be paying for your own gas)

Pay and Hours
This is a 1099 position. Each inspection has a flat rate. Rates vary based on county and volume. Although you are paid per inspection, you will earn the equivalent of $30-$40 per hour.
Depending on a county and if it is urban or rural you will complete anywhere from 20-500 inspections per month working 2-30 hours per week. Lower volume counties have higher rates and higher volume counties have lower rates. There is no set amount of inspections per month, but the work is consistent month-to-month.
Earn more as you become established, have greater availability to inspect or are willing to cover a larger territory.
No additional mileage reimbursement above the flat fee per inspection.

Quality Technicians are responsible for attaining and maintaining standards of quality for bottles as defined by drawings, product specifications and Quality Assurance procedures. Assist in the training of new personnel on the importance of quality and leadership. Responsible for monitoring the quality of finished product and packaging at start up and qualifications, both before and after packing. The primary duties of a Quality Technician include:
+ Understands, follows and enforces all established safety, health, quality GMP and Company policies, procedures and recognized practices.
+ Communicate about quality with supervisors, managers, other shifts and departments verbally and through written documents according to plant practice.
+ Setup and maintain product files in the Infinity QS data collection system for input of variable/attribute data by QA, production and maintenance personnel.
+ Develop and analyze statistical data, control charts and product specifications to determine present standards and establish proposed quality and reliability expectancy of finished product.
+ Participate in continuous quality improvement projects and other related activities as assigned.
+ Create and implement inspection criteria and procedures.
+ Maintain Quality Inspection Procedures.
+ Complete written documentation and forms as required.
+ Coordinate and manage the held ware and rework processes.
+ Coordinate quality activity with other departments to achieve plant objectives in compliance with plant procedures.
+ Coordinate quality control training for employees engaged in inspection and testing activities to ensure continuous control over materials and products.
+ Play an active role on teams within organization.
+ Assist in customer complaints investigation and corrective action process.
+ Assure Operators and PMT Leads are following procedures to conduct tests and inspections.
+ Change over challenge test samples during product change overs.
+ Assist all plant personnel support of Infinity and quality reporting systems.
+ Conduct and participate on gage R&R studies.
+ Conduct process Audits and finished goods for every Machine and report any visual defect for correction and trace back Audits.
+ Complete product qualifications First Articles test as required after Mold/Color change, and assist with new product approvals (PQP's)
+ Ability to analyze Statically Process Charts (SPC) and evaluate trends.
+ Retest bottles measurements from Production as needed (OOS or OOC) to verify quality conforms to standards.
+ Perform multiple inspection tests to ensure parts are produced to meet or exceed product specifications.
+ Identify and segregate (HFI) non conformity product according to established procedures.
+ Audit rejected materials/Customers returns and report findings.
+ Monitor Challenge test samples (Vision, ALPS, Metal detector) and QA Supplies and request replacements as needed.
+ Cover for Vacation as needed.
+ Maintain inventory of all caps and notify QA Manager when inventory is low.
+ Maintain work area and test samples in a clean and orderly fashion.
+ All other duties as assigned by the Quality Manager
**Qualifications**
A minimum of 1 to 3 years in manufacturing required. Minimum of 6 months quality experience preferred.

What is an Occupancy Verification?
Mortgage lenders require periodic updates on their properties and to do this they send out independent contractors. The purpose of the property inspection is:
To verify property occupancy.
To report on the general condition of the property using a mobile application.
Most inspections are exterior only. About 10% require interior photos after the property has gone vacant.
We contract with inspectors at a county level. This means that you would be responsible to complete all inspections in your county. In some cases, you will split the county with another inspector if there is enough volume for two inspectors.

Most common type of inspection should only take 5-6 minutes.

Attend inspection locations in accordance with job instructions.
Carry out any assignments in accordance with the clients' instructions and industry standards.
Supervise loading or discharge of cargo in containers or other modes of transport.

What is an Occupancy Verification?
Mortgage lenders require periodic updates on their properties and to do this they send out independent contractors. The purpose of the property inspection is:
To verify property occupancy.
To report on the general condition of the property using a mobile application.
Most inspections are exterior only. About 10% require interior photos after the property has gone vacant.
We contract with inspectors at a county level. This means that you would be responsible to complete all inspections in your county. In some cases, you will split the county with another inspector if there is enough volume for two inspectors.
Responsibilities
Most common type of inspection should only take 5-6 minutes.
Complete the inspection within 4 days after it is assigned.
Report general property conditions and make a determination of occupancy based on industry standards.
Take 9+ photos of the property with brief comments.

Lower volume counties have higher rates and higher volume counties have lower rates. There is no set amount of inspections per month, but the work is consistent month-to-month.
Earn more as you become established, have greater availability to inspect or are willing to cover a larger territory.
