Plant Quality TechnicianResponsible for executing corporate and plant specific Food Safety, Quality and Laboratory requirements. The QA Technician reports to QA Manager. In the absence of the Quality Assurance Technician, the QA Manager or designate will assume the job duties.
Essential Functions
Ensure all parameters of food safety and quality are being adhered to and maintained throughout the facility.
Assist with batching chemicals/ingredients for production.
Calibrate lab and line equipment for accurate results.
Collect in-process and finished product samples.
Conduct standardized qualitative and quantitative testing to ensure it meets specifications.
Perform aseptic testing for microbial contamination.
Follow protocols for documenting testing results.
Recognize deficiencies and initiate proper follow-up.
Identify and isolate product that does not meet standards.
Aid in troubleshooting deficiencies and non-conformances.
Review food safety and quality records.
Actively participate in plant teams (HACCP, Safety, etc.)
Conduct other duties as assigned by management.

Full-time Description
Summary/Objective The Quality Inspector will provide quality control and assurance throughout all phases of the production process beginning with raw materials and ending with the final product.
Essential Functions
· Daily On-Site Attendance.
· Performs assigned, routine visual inspections and other specified tests on raw materials, goods in process, and finished products.
· Tests, inspects, and approves raw materials based on established quality specifications.
· Uses observation and testing to identify faults in materials and manufacturing process.
· Uses statistical methods to test product samples to evaluate quality of full product batch prior to delivery to clients or customers.
· Compares results of inspections and tests to company's quality standards; reports results to supervisor for final analysis and action steps.
· Develops, maintains, and posts logs, charts, and forms detailing quality levels, inspection data, and results of special quality studies for review by line mechanics, supervisors, and other production staff.
· Consults with supervisor to determine appropriate recommendations and remedies for questionable products.
· Maintains quality records as needed.
· Performs other related duties as assigned.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

JOB DESCRIPTION/DUTIES
Primary duties will involve conducting specialized coating inspections at various stages, including in-process, post-process, and outplant phases. Additionally, you'll be responsible for meticulously documenting all aspects of these inspections.
Secondary duties will involve conducting first article inspections, in-process manufacturing inspections, and various dimensional inspections of Staccato products.
Inspecting products according to established Quality and Safety standards.
Read and interpret drawings for dimensional callouts.
Monitor testing procedures and processes to ensure tests are performed according to item specifications, protocols, and standard test methods.
Interpret test results and compare them to the specifications and control limits in place while providing recommendations on the appropriateness of data.
Complete documentation is necessary to support testing procedures.
Ensure equipment is calibrated, validated, and maintained properly and ensure safety during equipment operation.
Assist with any Quality concerns and report management concerns.
Various tasks to support facility operations (Quality or Production)
QUALIFICATIONS
In addition to general team member expectations, this role requires explicitly the following:
An associate's Degree of Science in an associated field is a plus but not mandatory; it may be substituted with a technical quality certificate, Six Sigma, Lean, or Continuous Improvement certification (ASQ, QMS, etc.).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook)
Experience with gauging equipment (calipers, micrometers, drop indicators, hardness testers, optical comparators, etc.) is preferred.
