Understands and is proficient with micrometers, dial bore gauges, snap ring gauges, plug gauges, thread gauges and other measurement tools and equipment
Communicates effectively; good oral/written communication skills
Understands CMM programming (preferred)

Job Summary:
Reporting to the Quality Team Lead, the Civil Quality Inspector is responsible for the quality control management and civil works acceptance of large scale solar and battery storage projects, with potential involvement with utility scale wind projects in the future. Responsibilities include conducting routine inspections to ensure code, testing, and material compliance of services and products adhere to the standard of Repsol's Quality Management System of renewable energy projects as assigned by the Quality Team Lead, Construction Manager, Project Manager, and others as needed. This position will also be responsible for the definition of quality requirements on our construction sites. This position is project-based, and will require relocation to the project location, with occasional travel to other sites as needed. Travel to the Downtown Houston office is limited.
Key Responsibilities/Duties:
* Ensure adherence to health and safety guidelines through daily hazard recognition documentation review and enforcement.
* Follow the QA/QC management system at sites.
* Use QA/QC computer programs and tablets to document quality records.
* Ability to read, interpret, and disseminate contractual language and industry related code information on multi-million-dollar renewable energy construction projects.
* Responsible for performing all aspects of Civil inspection activities with minimum supervision.
* Scheduling and leading meetings with project team members and management, both with Repsol and the EPC representatives
* Work closely with EPC Quality Managers, inspectors, foremen, superintendents, and construction managers to resolve issues throughout construction
* Coordinate with Assistant Civil Inspector daily for completion of inspection tasks
* Ensure that Civil ITP stages are compliant with standards.
* Review IFCs and overall accuracy.
* Monitor Civil operations and conduct required work inspection to resolve quality related issues with workers and subcontractors.
* Communicate with management and subcontractors on the requirements of Quality's scope of work.
* Verify that all site activities comply with the quality codes and standards.
* Provide appropriate feedback to management regarding QA/QC matters.
* Develop Inspection and Test Programs.
* Coordinate quality site inspections with all contractors/subcontractors and vendors.
* Monitor the implementation of the approved site QC plan.
* Inspect / review product material and testing to ensure compliance with code, standards, specifications, and QCM.
* Identify and control all NCR's while ensuring correction with remedial action.
* Witness post grade survey and ensure that the finish grade is to engineering specifications.
* Witness density testing and ensure that daily testing documentation is in order.
* Ensure all quality control turnover documentation is compiled and completed in a timely matter meeting project deadlines or contractual requirements.
* Inspect remediation processes for any civil design changes.
The candidate must be proficient in and have the ability and knowledge to witness, review, and understand industry-standard testing methods including:
* Standard and Modified Proctors
* Soil and Aggregate Gradations
* Density and compaction testing
* Concrete field and lab testing (including mix designs and constituents).
* Other applicable ASTM test methods for soils
The responsibilities of this position will include daily field inspections and reviews of all civil work, including but not limited to:
* Grading
* Concrete, rebar, and foundations
* SWPPP compliance

* SPCC implementation and adherence

Cross training with other disciplines (mechanical and electrical) will be required as necessary and/or as determined by the Quality Team Lead.
Minimum Qualifications:
* Legally authorized to work in the US for any employer.
* Valid US Driver's License.
* OSHA 10 Certification.
* Previous experience working with Geotechnical reports; previous roles completing concrete and constituent testing, density testing, and (lab) soils testing
* Minimum of 5 years of construction experience on energy related projects.
* Previous solar MV cable trenching experience is required.
* Previous experience with SWPPP and BMPs is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Demonstrated ability in quality control of materials testing and acceptance, final grade verification, and SWPPP.
* Demonstrated knowledge of USACE requirements and compliance.
* OSHA 30 Certification.
* One or more certifications in NICET, CCM, LEED, and ACI is a plus.
* Previous experience with road construction and DOT requirements.

Position Summary
Performs sampling, pipeline transfers, inventories and barge inspections including line condition surveys. Performs vessel inspections under the direct supervision of a Senior Inspector. Certifies that field assignments conform to company policies and procedures as well as job specific instructions supplied by the Operations Department. As company field representative, acts in a professional and dignified manner to maintain the company's respected and trusted reputation.
Minimum Requirements
Requires a High School Diploma (or equivalent) with good math skills and a minimum three months of inspection experience.
Must complete Inspector level training and pass corresponding theoretical tests and field evaluations.
Must have or obtain IFIA certification after gaining at least six months of industry experience.
Must maintain a valid Transportation Worker's Identification Card (TWIC). Possess and maintain a vehicle in good working order, a valid driver's license, vehicle insurance and registration.
Must be dependable, able to work independently and be able to effectively communicate and maintain professional relationships with numerous clients (i.e., terminal and vessel/barge personnel).
Must pass company defined physical requirements. Must meet and maintain site-specific requirements mandated by customers and/or terminals to have access to all facilities.
Responsibilities
As instructed by the Operations Department and under the strict guidelines described in the Inspection and ASTM/API manuals:
Acts as a Company representative in the field. Must be able to perform duties and responsibilities as per company policies and procedures. Maintains regular contact with Operations Department to receive work orders and schedules.
Effectively communicates all aspects of assigned job duties. Maintains regular contact with Operations Department, terminals, and vessel to avoid delays or conflicts.
Obtains, labels and transports samples to the laboratory in a timely manner as required by each specific job assignment.
Maintains assigned inspection equipment in good working order and ensures equipment is properly calibrated and stored.
Measures (gauge and temperature) products and performs all required field calculations per the API Standards, completes all required field documentation and submits reports to the Operations Department in a timely manner.
Performs specialized inspection services such as loss control, wall washings or confined space entry upon receiving required training.
Assists in the training of Probationary and Junior Inspectors.
Fitness for Duty - Physical Demands
Workday may consist of 8-12 hours; however, this can vary day to day or shift to shift. Much of the work is performed outdoors, wearing full Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and could include possible exposure to high and low temperatures for prolonged duration of time. Work may be performed during day or nighttime hours and may involve working alone.

Summary
The Petroleum Inspector performs testing of bulk liquid or gaseous hydrocarbon or chemical cargo supervision services, such as but not limited to, gauging, sampling and reconciliation of transfer from shore tank, barge or ship to shore tank, barge or ship. Acts in accordance with Client, SGS Operational Excellence practices and Industry standards.
Job Functions
Physically samples, measures, and takes the temperature of vessel's tanks and shore tanks utilizing a variety of methods dictated by company and American Petroleum Institute (API) procedures.
Follows Safely standards and performs job efficiently. Works within defined technical processes and procedures or methodologies.
Calculates and reports quantities of the bulk liquid or gaseous hydrocarbon transferred and performs full reconciliation.
Completes all required reports and forms, using the SGS propriety Ship Inspection Report (SIR) and / or Site Acceptance Test (SAT) systems.
Works in cooperation with client's representatives, US Customs, vessel personnel, government agents and shore facility personnel.
Maintains regular communication with the business unit office staff with reference to job status, problems, concerns, etc.
Maintains knowledge and adheres to the latest industry, client and SGS internal standards, policies and procedures.
Operates to the highest standards of ethics, in accordance with the SGS Code of Integrity including adhering to all company safety practices.
Assists in other branch duties as assigned related to back office support and housekeeping.

Dimensional QC Inspector
Quality inspector job in League City, TX
A growing machine shop in the League City area is seeking a Dimensional QC Inspector on a direct hire basis. This position will be working in a QC/QA team of about 6-8 employees in performing dimensional inspection an raw materials, in-process parts, and completed parts. Ideal candidate will have 3+ years of quality control inspection experience in a machine shop or similar manufacturing facility, and be well versed on precision measurement devices such as mics, calipers, gauges, etc.
Responsibilities
This position reports to the Quality Assurance Manager specific responsibilities include:
Create Inspection Report Template for new parts, maintain existing inspection report templates
Inspects all parts received from OSS
Perform first article, in-process, and post fabrication inspections using a variety of precision measurement devices - OD/ID mics, calipers, plug gauges, optical comparator, etc. - must be proficient with both conventional (analog) and digital
Supervise or perform engraving when needed
Review all Material Test Reports (MTR's)
Inspects all completed parts prior to packaging for shipping
Supervise packaging to ensure parts aren't damaged after final inspection, and document as needed
Sign-off on shipment of parts after packaging inspection and loading is complete.
Final Documentation Packets - ensure all required documentation is included in both client packets (ex: inspection reports, pictures, heat-treating certifications, etc.)
Support QC and QA managers and other Dimensional QC Inspectors as needed or required.
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED combined with experience and training, as deemed acceptable by hiring Manager
Minimum 3 years' experience in a Manufacturing environment
Previous experience with an ERP software is preferred - JobBOSS experience a plus, but not required.
Highly experienced with precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers, etc.) and vision inspection systems is highly preferred.
Knowledge of ISO 9001 standards, and experience supporting quality and/or ISO audits is a huge plus.
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills for effective collaboration across departments.
