This full time position reports to the Quality Manager and is an essential contributor to the team.
Core Responsibilities:
• Inspect aircraft assemblies and sub-assemblies for fastener installation, cable harness assembly installation, part location, riveting, sealing, etc. for acceptable workmanship, proper functioning, and completeness.
• Use calibrated Our Client inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, height gages, radius gages, rivet gages, etc. to measure and evaluate characteristics of aircraft parts and assemblies.
• Read and understand engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, standards, and other instructions.
• Perform in-process, first article, and final inspections in accordance with AS9102 standards and/or customer requirements.
• Identify and document nonconformities for MRB and engineering review.
• Assist with internal quality audits in preparation for FAA and vendor audits.
• Help track, manage, and maintain list of calibrated shop inspection tools and equipment.
• Assist with training and providing guidance to other team members.
• Other tasks reasonably requested due to the nature of the position.
Skills and Experience:
• High school or equivalent; technical or vocational education a plus.
• FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license highly preferred
• Minimum three years of recent aircraft quality inspection experience, preferably in a manufacturing facility
• Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
• Basic understanding of Geometric Dimension and Tolerancing (GD&T) methods

Qualifications
Work environment:
