General Responsibilities: Ensures effective operations through selection, training, motivation, evaluation and development of a competent on-site medical coordination team. Formulates treatment authorization request to Point Comfort Underwriters for unaccompanied refugee clients, as needed. Serves as the subject matter expert of Point Comfort Underwriters Insurance. Schedules and facilitates initial medical screenings, follow up visits, and any other medical/dental related appointments as required by ORR policy. Develops, recruits, and maintains positive working relationships between contracted providers to include all health providers and related partners. Manages and maintains the record-keeping process to ensure there is an effective filing system in which information is forwarded smoothly. Ensures documentation and filing compliance with all required forms in accordance with the agency, state licensing, and ORR. Effectively trains staff members on documentation compliance in accordance with agency, state licensing expectations, and ORR, as needed. Reconciles and addresses all billing errors to ensure accurate billing with no profit loss. Maintains accurate, up-to-date information on foster children in care while meeting DHHS, ORR, and internal documentation and reporting requirements. Stays abreast of all agency, federal, and state regulatory requirements related to social services. Periodically travels to health care provider facilities to build positive working relationships and transport clients. Provides supervision of youth in care. Creates client intake case files with necessary intake documents and ensure that youth are properly enrolled in UC Portal platform. Assists with compiling electronic and physical files for ORR or State Licensing representatives, upon request. Assists with filing, closing, and with overall daily maintenance of records found in either the physical case file and on UAC Portal. Facilitates incoming calls to youth with appropriate family members and other approved caregivers and ensure the provision of weekly telephonic contacts with family of origin, primary caregiver, and/or sponsor. Assists with the coordination of fingerprint services for family reunification at program designated digital site. Attends internal and external training and apply newly gained knowledge in providing services. #Attends and prepares for required court hearings (if applicable). # Education/Training: Minimum of one (1) year of employment in public health or a healthcare setting with demonstrated experience in care coordination, health administration, or direct clinical care AND any of the following: Licensed practical or vocational nurse (LPN/LVN) or higher health-related qualification (e.g., licensed registered nurse (RN) with a bachelor#s degree), OR bachelor#s degree in a relevant field. # Experience:#Experience: At least one (1) year of experience working with medical providers and at least one (1) year employment experience in the child welfare field working with children and/or adolescents. 30 plus hours of higher education in a social service field, preferred.
