Nature and Scope: Sun Hydraulics, LLC in Sarasota, FL has a paid R&D Engineering internship opportunity available for Summer 2026. The internship offers an introductory hydraulics course as well as the opportunity to see how the different engineering classes are applied in a manufacturing and engineering business. Toward the end of the internship, we ask interns to give presentations suggesting improvements that they may have identified during the defined project.
Qualifications:
Hands on, self-motivated students from mechanical, mechatronic, agricultural, and electrical or electronic engineering related programs are encouraged to apply. Undergraduate and graduate students that have had fluid power/hydraulics, programming, and controls course work are especially encouraged to apply. Previous internship experience in a manufacturing environment is useful, but not necessary. Our preference is for students who have an interest in an engineering career working in Florida.

Working Conditions:
