As you secure funding from the SBIR program, you will have the opportunity to grow your own research group with multiple practitioner personnel reporting into your function to help execute multi-disciplinary projects and technologies to set them up for commercialization. The long-term vision for this position involves the ability to directly influence customer-driven R&D and new product development.
