About the role:
In this strategic role, you will provide engineering expertise and technical leadership to support the development of complex electro-mechanical medical device systems within the Interventional Cardiology Coronary Therapies team. This role will utilize a variety of new and proven technologies to deliver life-changing medical devices to patients and clinicians in support of BSC's mission.

Your responsibilities will include:
Lead interdisciplinary technical teams consisting of electrical, mechanical, software, biomedical and systems engineers from project conception to commercialization of complex medical systems.
Define project assignments of substantial variety and complexity, including project resource requirements, budgets, schedules, and technical milestones to align with program goals.
Coordinate and ensure the success of key project activities including product development, risk management, verification & validation, and regulatory submissions.
Influence cross-functional teams, resolve technical conflicts, and drive alignment across engineering, quality, clinical and regulatory stakeholders.
Proactively manage the technical scope of projects, utilizing tradeoff assessment tools, data analysis and subject matter expert feedback to justify and document project decisions.
Effectively communicate project decisions and status to a wide variety of audiences and stakeholders.
Mentor high potential technical talent.
Interface with physicians and Cath lab personnel to identify needs and to obtain feedback on concept performance of new devices that influence future business recommendations and enhances BSC's intellectual property portfolio.
Understand clinical use cases to translate customer needs into product requirements and design specifications.
Ensure that the product design will meet user needs, marketing and business objectives.
Leverage internal/external partners as necessary to achieve project objectives.
In all actions, demonstrate a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance with all documented quality processes and procedures.
Required qualifications:
BS in Electrical, Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering or other related engineering field.
At least 12 years of engineering work experience developing complex products.
Demonstrated capability to lead high performing technical teams through a structured approach to solving complex technical problems.
Strong systems engineering skills over a broad range of products/applications.
Strong knowledge of design controls & risk management practices.
Willingness to travel up to 15%.

Test and record key quality attributes such as pH, Brix, viscosity, and weight to ensure products meet specifications.
Perform environmental swabbing of production areas as part of routine EMP, ensuring samples are taken correctly and logged consistently.
Assist in monitoring production batches by verifying lot codes, product labeling, and ensuring full traceability from raw materials to finished goods.
Ensure all laboratory instruments are properly calibrated, cleaned, and maintained according to schedule.

Minimum Qualifications

Brewery Lab Technologist
Research technician job in Clear Lake, MN
As a QC Lab Technician, you will perform essential quality control and laboratory functions to ensure food safety and support the HACCP program. You will be responsible for microbiological and analytical testing of various products, including energy drinks, and ensuring the accuracy of all measuring devices. This role is a blend of laboratory and production support functions, providing a well-rounded experience in quality assurance.
Responsibilities:
+ Perform microbiological analysis of products, water, and environment to support Pre-Operation sanitation and HACCP program.
+ Accurately collect samples for product testing without compromising the validity of test samples.
+ Conduct analytical testing of energy drinks, including CO2, air, volumes, crimp, torque, pH, brix, flavor, and other necessary parameters for both bottles and cans.
+ Perform titratable acidity analysis and HPLC analysis of products for caffeine and preservative levels.
+ Assess the taste, odor, and appearance (T.O.A.) of finished products.
+ Ensure the accuracy and calibration of all measuring devices.
+ Accurately record and document results from product analysis.
+ Ensure batching sheets are properly filled out and within specifications before signing off.
+ Review ingredient labels, specs, weights, and regulatory documents to validate batching/recipes.
+ Communicate with batching, production, and sanitation teams to review specifications and support QA functions.
+ Pull finished goods samples from production for analytical and customer testing requirements.
+ Perform QA line checks every 4 hours during the shift.
+ Review GMPs and adherence to food safety standards for production, including equipment temperature checks and calibrations.
Skills:
+ 2 years of experience in food quality OR an AA or BA/BS in a scientific discipline.
+ Proficiency in wet chemistry and/or aseptic technique preferred.
