Position Overview

Job Description
Required Education:
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• Experience: 8-10 years of quality engineering experience.
Technical Skills:
o Expertise in APQP: Proven, hands-on experience in facilitating and creating all core APQP elements-Process Flow, Control Plan, and PFMEA.
o Software Proficiency: Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams for analysis, presentation, and collaboration.
Nice-to-Haves (Differentiators)
• Prior experience in the automotive industry or another high-volume, discrete manufacturing environment with rigorous quality standards.
• Direct experience supporting new capital equipment installation and process launch.
Key Responsibilities & "A Day in the Life"
• APQP Facilitation & Development: You will spend a significant portion of your time facilitating cross-functional teams to create and refine core APQP deliverables, specifically Process FMEAs (PFMEA), Control
Plans and Process Flow Diagrams.
• Project Management & Tracking: You will independently schedule and lead APQP readiness meetings, track actions from PFMEAs, and manage your priorities across multiple, simultaneous capital programs.
• Data Analysis & Validation: You will be responsible for reviewing and developing process capability studies and measurement systems analysis to validate that new equipment and processes are capable and
reliable.
• Documentation & Reporting: A key output of this role is the creation of final Production Part Approval (PPAP) documentation. You will also be responsible for formal reporting and presenting updates to
stakeholders.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: You will interact daily with various departments, including Manufacturing Engineering, Metallurgy, and Metrology, to ensure all aspects of quality readiness (e.g., CMM
programming, validation results) are supported for each new capital program.
Work Environment: This is a 100% on-site role in a factory setting. Your office will be located within the active production plant, requiring engagement with the manufacturing floor.
Soft Skills:
o Excellent facilitation skills to lead and manage cross-functional meetings (both in-person and virtual).
o Strong project management abilities to juggle priorities across multiple complex projects.

• Lack of specific, demonstrable experience in facilitating PFMEAs and creating Control Plans.
• Inability to work on-site in Lafayette, IN.
• Less than 8 years of relevant experience.
