Do the Work * Prepare conceptual plans and or land planning for various projects. * Prepare site feasibility studies and reports. * Prepare submittal documents to obtain permits and approvals, including formal site plans and plans of development. * Research, analyze, compile and display data for problem solving planning issues. * Research zoning codes and agency requirements to determine how to apply design considerations. * Compile and assimilate reports and records for documentation purposes, accountability and future reference such as impact studies, population data and analysis, maps, and diagrams. * Prepare graphic presentations, exhibits and other materials for public meetings. * Develop constraints map for assessment. * Perform site plan reviews for compliance with local and state criteria, specific project documentation such as addresses, certified surveys, setbacks, easements, alley ways, and right of ways. * Research landowner and third-party information, restrictions and agreements, anchor and tenant planning requirements. Qualifications The preferred candidate will have at least five (5) years of experience in office mapping related to private land development and public works projects, particularly in California. While no professional license is required, knowledge of California jurisdictional codes, local municipal standards, and procedures is essential. Key Skills and Qualifications: Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience, with at least three (3) years in a management role supervising subordinate staff. Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to establish positive working relationships with clients and public agencies. Experience preparing construction staking calculations using AutoCAD Civil 3D and performing detailed take-offs and construction cost estimates.
