Job Description:
The Dining Service Helper performs jobs such as setting and resetting dining room tables, clearing tables, refilling water, and maintaining consistent and efficient unit specific service standards.

Essential Functions/Characteristics
Interacts professionally with other employees, customers, and suppliers.
Performs quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision.
Works effectively as a team contributor on all assignments.
Works independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and organizations.
Cleaning Services
Expedites and runs food to wait person, or guests, as needed.
Maintains service stations in a clean and orderly manner throughout shift.
Performs all opening and closing side work as specified by manager.
Removes plates and silverware when all guests have finished, following proper service standards.

This position assists the Service Crew in Dining.

Job Description:
This position is modeling for the Visual Arts program figure drawing and painting classes. New models are welcome. Models without previous modeling experience but with experience in any type of dance, theater, yoga or athletics are encouraged to apply. All body types are welcome. Models from all walks of life are welcome and encouraged to apply.
Essential Functions/Characteristics
Preference will be shown to models that are available for a variety of times.
Must have a professional presence and appropriately interact with students and faculty.
Reliability, punctuality and professionalism in conduct are essential. The success of the educational environment relies upon the model arriving on time and being ready to pose as scheduled.
All work is performed under supervision of the class instructor during class hours.
Additional times may be needed throughout the semester based on class needs in a variety of painting and drawing classes at all levels.
Requirements:
Must be 18 years of age or older and must not be a current student of Roger Williams University.
Models must be capable of holding a variety of standing and/or sitting poses from gestures to sustained poses, from 30 seconds to as long as 20 minutes of continuous modeling time followed by 5-minute breaks for up to a total of 2 or 4 hours per session.
Ability to provide full range of traditional life drawing poses, as required for fine arts studio classes; figure drawing, painting and other drawing courses or as required by class curriculum.
Must be comfortable posing clothed or nude.

POSITION SUMMARY:
Provide supervision to University Police Officer I and assigned lesser ranking public safety personnel. With a high degree of professionalism, promote public safety, enforce laws and University of Rhode Island Board of Trustees and University of Rhode Island regulations; effect arrests in accordance with provisions of federal, state, and local laws and ordinances; maintain order and security on premises within the legal jurisdiction, provide emergency medical services to the University community; protect life and property.
Duties and Responsibilities
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
In the absence of a supervisor, the senior University Police Officer II may assume those duties for the current shift until the arrival of a supervisor. While serving in this capacity, responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, recording attendance, filling shift vacancies, responding to requests for an officer in charge, and making notifications to superior officers and other University officials when necessary.
Patrol campus in motor vehicles or using bicycles, and/or on foot, in order to deter and detect criminal or unsafe activity.
Inspect campus buildings and property to guard against theft, damage, defacement, destruction, or fire.
Investigate all alarms and suspicious persons to ensure the safety of the campus community.
Conduct investigations and prepare detailed written and verbal reports on a variety of incidents including, but not limited to, criminal offenses, domestic violence, missing persons, personal injuries, and traffic accidents. Gather information by interviewing and obtaining statements from witnesses, victims, suspects and cooperating individuals.
Respond to and investigate reports of fire, disturbances, and other emergencies in a prompt manner.
Operate the Department's communication equipment and communications center; answer telephone inquiries; receive reports of criminal activity; dispatch foot and mobile units; operate paging system; monitor alarm systems; prepare and distribute reports.
Communicate clearly and effectively over law enforcement radio channels when initiating and responding to radio communications and while operating a vehicle.
Operate law enforcement support equipment to include, but not be limited to, telephones, typewriters, fixed and portable radios, and computers, including mobile data terminals and cameras.
Maintain and operate all Department vehicles in accordance with Department policy, including inspecting vehicles for damage, contraband, or mechanical defects at the start and completion of the shift.
Maintain all equipment and weapons, including firearms, in a state of operational readiness.
Be familiar with all areas of campus. This will include knowledge of roads, buildings, residence halls, Greek houses and other specialty housing.
Maintain orderly control of large crowds and enforce safety regulations at special events.
Identify and report public safety hazards within the campus.
Mediate disputes, defuse situations, and reach a satisfactory resolution between emotionally upset and often irrational persons involved in disputes, drunkenness or under the influence of narcotics, or those involved in situations in which a heightened emotional state may impair judgment.
Recognize and effectively engage with individuals who may be suffering from a permanent or temporary mental disorder.
Exercise independent judgment in determining when there is reasonable suspicion to detain, when probable cause exists to search and arrest, and when force may be used and to what degree, consistent with Department policy and applicable laws.
Interact with members of the University community and students in particular, engaging in community policing. This will include close interaction with student interns, and attendance and participation in University events designed to foster the relationship between the police and other members of the University community.
Recognizing the ever-changing nature of police work, officers will be required to attend periodic
advanced training. This will include subjects such as non-violent conflict resolution, domestic violence and sexual assault investigations, cultural sensitivity and tactics in recognizing and responding to those with mental health issues. This will be achieved through a combination of in-service training and outside seminars.
Receive mandatory annual training on issues of hazardous materials and blood-borne pathogens.
Arrest persons with or without a warrant, as permitted by law, for violations of state or federal statutes or local regulations or ordinances occurring on or adjacent to University property, and process those arrested in compliance with law and Department policy; and arrest those who are wanted by other law enforcement agencies.
Ensure that all such arrests are properly documented in an official police report.
Preserve crime scenes in accordance with Department policy. Detect and collect evidence and substances that provide the basis of criminal offenses and infractions. Seize, transport, photograph, and inventory evidence and property taken into custody and ensure the proper securing of evidence and property seized.
Assist in rendering safety-related services to the University community, including participating in the presentation of programs related to law enforcement and safety education. Effectively communicate with individuals by providing assistance, information, and directions.
Enforce University parking regulations and State traffic laws; issue related citations where appropriate, and perform traffic control duties, including traffic direction, use of radar or laser equipment for speed detection, and investigation of motor vehicle crashes.
Patrol parking areas to protect against vehicle theft and vandalism, and to enhance pedestrian safety.
Essential and secondary duties require maintaining the physical condition necessary for the apprehension of suspects walking, running, bicycling, operating motorized equipment and vehicles, and positioning and maintaining traffic barricades.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinate efforts with other Department personnel and, where necessary, with University employees to ensure that teamwork leads to the successful attainment of police and public safety short- and long-term goals.
Cooperate with other federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies in the enforcement of laws and regulations.
Promptly serve or deliver warrants, summonses, and other official papers and documents.
Conduct surveillance for extended periods of time, when necessary.
Render basic first aid.
Appear in court and at other hearings, including University judicial hearings, to provide testimony,
completing reports in advance of said appearances.
Perform other related duties and services as required.
LICENSES, TOOLS, AND EQUIPMENT:
Valid driver's license is required. Must be skilled in the use of department-issued materials, communications equipment, records management and other software, mobile data terminals, firearms and weapons, restraining devices and defensive equipment. Must meet and maintain department standards on the use of issued equipment.
Required Qualifications
REQUIRED:
1. Successful completion of a comprehensive police training accepted by the Rhode Island Police Officers' Commission on Standards and Training (POST) as a comparative certification prior to hire.
2. Law enforcement experience such as gained through one year of employment with a campus, municipal, state police force or other governmental enforcement organization, OR two years of policing-related military experience.
3. Experience working in a law enforcement capacity.
4. Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
5. Proficiency in written communication skills.
6. Ability to work with diverse groups/populations.
7. Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.
8. Must be physically qualified to perform assigned duties as evidenced by a physician's certificate.
9. Must satisfactorily pass a formal review process, which may include agility, psychological, and/or competency tests and must also pass a national criminal background check.
Preferred Qualifications
PREFERRED:
1. Associate's degree in police science or other related curriculum.

Work with a multidisciplinary team of psychologists on an NIH-funded project using intensive longitudinal data to examine return to substance use following residential substance use treatment. POSITION SUMMARY:
Coordinate the programmatic, administrative, and operational functions essential for the efficient functioning of strategic research, outreach, and institutional effectiveness initiatives within the Division of Research and Economic Development. Support the Division in the following areas: Plan, develop, and maintain SOPs, resource guides, and policies that have an impact in all facets of research administration; lead program management, quality control, and support for complex projects for the Division; interpret and present data to a variety of audiences; develop and coordinate a contract review process; interface with multiple levels of the organization and external entities to manage the efficient delivery of research-related services and processes; establish and maintain collaborative relationship with administrators, faculty, and staff.
Duties and Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide a service point of contact for the Division, faculty, staff and administrators.
Provide project management support for complex initiatives for the Division. Such initiatives may include: coordinating across division teams for process optimization, managing changes in federal regulatory landscape that impact multiple offices within the division, developing mechanisms to measure and manage metrics across the division's service areas, and supporting strategic planning efforts in the Division.
Develop and maintain a contract review process and SOP for research-related contracts. Serve as steward and coordinator of Research and Economic Development agreements and contracts, liaising with PIs, Office of General Counsel, and other campus units as appropriate.
Assist with data use agreements and other legal documents working with the proper university officials.
Identify cores and shared research facilities relevant to research on campus. Maintain accurate descriptions of cores and shared research facilities for the research and external community.
Oversee updates of manual of operations, SOPs, policies, and resource guides.
Provide guidance on the appropriate research support office to carry out research-related functions.
Address questions and identify contacts about specific research-related policies or procedures.
Coordinate meetings, phone conferences, minutes, and presentations for strategic Division initiatives.
Assist with daily assigned projects as needed by the AVPR and VPR.
Supervise and coordinate the work of subordinates.

Job Description:
Under the direction of the Head Coach, the Assistant Coach is responsible for all aspects of the development and administration of a successful NCAA Division III Intercollegiate Sport Program on a per-diem basis. The program will be conducted in accordance with all University and National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) rules, regulations, and policies. The Assistant Coach is a professional employee of the University with a primary duty of teaching and instructing student-athletes in the specific sport that is being coached. The vast majority of the Assistant Coach's time is spent on coaching/teaching duties, while a minority of the Assistant Coach's time is spent performing administrative duties.
Coaching/Teaching (80%)
Teach and develop sport-specific skills in a successful, safe and prudent manner. Create, present, and maintain records of up-to-date lesson plans for pre-season/season practice drills and procedures detailing the desired goals to be achieved. Schedule practice and game preparation sessions, and conduct post game analysis and incorporate into lesson plans. Conduct research of opposing teams.
Administrative (20%)
Conduct an ongoing recruitment program through a variety of methods, both on and off the court/field with the goal to attract, select and encourage enrollment of high caliber student-athletes. Initiate new ideas and methods to improve the program in support of the University goal of a successful conference and attainment of a regional level Intercollegiate Associate ranking relevant to the specific sport. Position Summary

Advance the department's strategic plan in alignment with the university's through implementation of key initiatives, resource management, and oversight of the university's public private partnership (P3) agreements related to student housing.
Duties and Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for the financial management and business functions of the department. Maintain direct oversight of financial transactions, accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, payroll, personnel; etc. Monitor and evaluate the financial, operational, and compliance aspects of P3 housing facilities. Manage all approvals for payables, receivables, procurement as well as support contract management including vendor negotiations, service agreements, compliance management, etc., as required.
Develop and execute strategies to optimize budget management and fiscal performance. Support annual budget plan processes as well as financial proformas and forecasts as directed by the AVP of HRL and the Chief Business Officer (CBO), Student Affairs.
Direct the preparation of financial reports utilizing key metrics and performance indicators (KPIs) including P3 housing portfolio. Support strategic initiatives surrounding profitability analysis.
Support financial plans involving capital initiatives ensuring integration with Fund Balance reserve management, operating budgets, and long-term strategic plans. Support the AVP of HRL in design, construction, and capital improvement projects related to P3 housing from a documentation and financial viewpoint.
Provide general direction, supervision, coaching, and development to the fiscal staff to ensure that administrative policies and procedures are being followed and ensure strong stewardship of university and departmental resources.
Serve as the primary university liaison for the P3 housing agreements, ensuring adherence to contractual obligations and performance benchmarks.
Coordinate with partners on financial reporting, forecasting, and budget review processes and provide regular reporting to university leadership as necessary. Collaborate to identify opportunities for innovation, growth, and operational efficiencies.
Serve as liaison with division and university financial operations-related offices including the Controller's Office, Financial Strategy & Planning Office, Facilities Services, Purchasing, and other areas as appropriate.
Control authorization for administrative data security for financial, procurement, and University software platforms or enterprise databases. Manage signature authorization and account oversight. Responsible for developing digital workflows and automating processes where possible.
Ensure responsiveness and quality of service in handling financial inquiries or billing issues from students, parents, and other stakeholders.
Ensure adequate and appropriate internal controls to ensure full accountability of financial processes emphasizing best practices, risk limitations, and business continuity plans.
Identify fiscal opportunities for revenue enhancement as well as cost containment and efficiencies.
Participate in committees, task forces, and financial meetings as directed.
Participate in the development, implementation, and interpretation of department and University policies.
Supervise preparation of personnel forms, payroll operation (including time approval for internal payroll), student employment, and tracking of personnel forms.
Maintain records and files, as necessary in accordance with State retention policies and ensure proper documentation and record-keeping of all P3-related agreements, amendments, and communications.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Associate Vice Provost for Academic Personnel and Labor Relations serves as the lead for the Office of the Provost on academic personnel and labor relations issues. This includes working closely with Deans and their teams on faculty recruitment and hiring, overseeing sabbatical review and approvals, and tracking key metrics related to faculty. On the labor relations front, this position will represent the Office of the Provost and work in collaboration with the Division for Human Resources in collective bargaining with unions representing faculty, part-time faculty, and graduate assistants. It will also serve as the lead for Academic Affairs in administering collective bargaining agreements with faculty, part-time faculty, and graduate assistants, including discipline and grievance procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Faculty Hiring, Retention, and Performance
* Working with the Office of Human Resources, ensure an effective hiring process for faculty, deans, and other Academic Affairs personnel that facilitates timely and competitive hiring and retention of academic personnel.
* Advise and consult with Deans on all matters relating to the hiring of faculty, including salary, appointment letters, set up costs, relocation expenses, etc.
* Oversee sabbatical review and approvals, including chairing the sabbatical review committee.
* Work with Deans on exceptional salary increases and other faculty performance and retention matters.
Labor Relations
* Serve as the lead in the Office of the Provost on labor relations strategies, contract negotiations and the administering of collective bargaining agreements (CBAs) with faculty, part-time faculty, and graduate assistants.
* Serve as the University lead in collective bargaining with the part-time faculty and graduate assistants and support Human Resources in negotiations with the AAUP.
* Work closely with Human Resources and the Office of General Counsel on discipline matters, grievances, and arbitration under the CBAs with faculty, part-time faculty, and graduate assistants.
* Develop solution-oriented relationships with union officials to aid in resolving issues outside of the grievance procedure.
Personnel Metrics
* Work in collaboration with the Colleges and Institutional Research to track data related to faculty and academic personnel.
* Provide the Office of the Provost and the Office of Human Resources with data and analysis related to faculty, academic personnel, and academic CBAs to assist with strategic planning and decision-making.

BASIC FUNCTION:

Duties and Responsibilities

Digital Asset Inventory and Management: Initiate and seek out opportunities to update University stock photography of campus locations, buildings, faculty, staff, and students. Collaborate with Designers, Editors, Content Creators: Work with the marketing and communications team (including creative services, media relations, web communications, and social media) to produce compelling photos that visually represent the spirit, culture, and achievements of our University community.
Contribute Photography for Magazine: Coordinate and produce portraits, editorial, landscape, and scenic photos, and other kinds of photography for print and digital publication. The department has 16 research faculty members, 8 teaching faculty members, and 16
graduate teaching assistants. We offer programs leading to BA, BS, MS, and PhD
degrees in mathematics, with applied mathematics options at all levels. We co-govern
the Data Science Program, which houses a BA, BS, online graduate certificate, and
online MS degree. The interdisciplinary nature of our department will provide the new
faculty member with opportunities to interact with a broad range of colleagues in areas
such as Oceanography, Computer Science, Statistics, Physics, Engineering, and Life
Sciences.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsibilities may include teaching a variety of undergraduate courses, coordinating
multi-section courses, teaching large size classes, teaching general education courses
aimed at students throughout the campus, and course and project development. Course
development involves preparing exams and syllabi, maintaining online resources and
participation in all aspects of the assessment cycle for courses. The course load is 24
credits per year with a mixture of 3-credit and 4-credit courses. In addition to other
responsibilities, teaching faculty are expected to participate in department service
activities as they pertain to their normal instructional responsibilities
