Brief Description:
The Restoration Technician is a first responder on property loss situations and helps mitigate damage in residential and commercial structures. Technicians are responsible for water damage mitigation, structural board-up and security, on-location cleaning, microbial remediation, content pack-outs, content processing/deodorization, content storage, and handling.

This is a hands-on, detail-focused project lead role with heavy emphasis on Microsoft Office proficiency, self-direction, documentation, and process improvement. The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable working independently, and able to remain focused and professional in a fast-paced, high-pressure election environment, especially during long days leading up to and including Election Day.
Project & Administrative Support
Serve as a project lead and administrative partner to the Elections Administrator, project sponsor, and Elections Operations Manager.
Support coordination of day-to-day activities, meetings, and special initiatives within the Elections office.
Schedule and facilitate meetings with stakeholders; capture clear, detailed meeting notes and action items.
Track project tasks, timelines, and deliverables; follow up with stakeholders to ensure completion.
Process & Procedure Development
Meet with staff across the Elections office to understand their roles, workflows, and pain points.
Document current procedures and processes in a clear, organized format (e.g., SOPs, checklists, flow diagrams).
Review existing procedures against Texas election code and Secretary of State guidance/best practices and help formalize them into standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Identify gaps, inefficiencies, or risks in current processes and recommend practical improvements.
Research & Documentation
Perform research (online, internal resources, reference materials) to gather answers and best practices needed to support process development and decision making.
Consolidate information into well-structured documents, presentations, and reference materials using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Maintain organized documentation repositories (e.g., shared drives, SharePoint, Teams) for procedures, templates, and project artifacts.
Election-Cycle Support
Support preparation activities for upcoming elections, including process documentation, checklists, and coordination of special projects.
Assist with monitoring and tracking tasks during early voting and Election Day, escalating issues to leadership as needed.
Work extended hours, including some evenings and weekends, particularly in the ramp-up to elections and on Election Day itself (10-12+ hour shifts may be required).
Collaboration & Communication
Build strong working relationships with Elections staff, leadership, and technical partners while maintaining professionalism and discretion.
Communicate clearly and proactively regarding project status, risks, and constraints.
Work largely independently with minimal supervision, staying on task and avoiding unnecessary distractions or excessive socializing during work hours.
Required Qualifications
3+ years of experience in a project lead, project coordinator, project manager, or operations/process-focused role, preferably in a government, public sector, legal, or highly regulated environment.
Demonstrated experience documenting, improving, and implementing procedures or workflows (e.g., SOPs, process maps, checklists).
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); experience using Teams and/or SharePoint for collaboration and document management.
Proven ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and drive work to completion without supervision.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to draft clear documentation and summarize information for leadership.
Willingness and ability to work extended hours and overtime, including occasional nights and weekends, particularly during election periods.
Must be able to work 100% onsite at the customer's Elections office in the Dallas, TX area.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in Elections, County/City government, or a similar public-sector environment.
Experience supporting compliance-focused work, where procedures must align with statutes, regulations, or published best practices.
Familiarity with project management tools or methodologies (formal PMP not required).
Experience coordinating or supporting large-scale or time-critical events (e.g., elections, large public events, audits, or public programs).

What you'll do…
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Technician, Automation & Controls to support the integration, commissioning, and optimization of generator packages and electrical systems within advanced microgrid projects. This role is hands-on and dynamic, requiring expertise in automation, controls, and system performance to help ensure reliable, safe, and compliant operations. This is a field position based out of Dallas - Fort Worth, Texas and will report directly to the Manager of Automation & Controls Engineering.
You'll make an impact by:
System Integration & Commissioning
Contributing to the integration of generator packages, switchgear, and electrical systems in line with project specifications, safety protocols, and timelines.
Carrying out and validate cable schedules, control packages, and system testing protocols.
Performing start-up and performance testing activities to confirm operational readiness and safety compliance.
Project Execution & Handover
Supporting the transition from construction to commissioning and operations teams by confirming integration requirements are met.
Tracking and closing punch list items by documenting deficiencies and assisting with resolution.
Providing troubleshooting support during early operational phases following system integration.
Technical Contribution
Assisting in troubleshooting automation, protection, and control systems (e.g., Schneider PLCs, DeepSea Controllers, ABB Relays, SEL devices).
Participating in the development and delivery of training for site personnel and contractors on microgrid operations, controls, and start-up procedures.
Helping maintain documentation control and reporting, ensuring accurate project records.
