Duties and Responsibilities:
Identify potential new customers through various means, including but not limited to, phone sales, networking, and the use of company marketing materials.
Schedule and attend meetings with potential customers to discuss the customer's needs/wants and asses the condition of the roof(s) to identify potential issues and recommend appropriate solutions.
This includes taking photos of the property at street level and any potential damages found on the roof, as well as explaining the benefits of different roofing options and outlining installation timelines.
Input Customer Lead Data into the AccuLynx System, ensuring that the correct email, phone number, and address are all included and correct. This includes keeping the management team up to date on any discussions with the customer via the “Communications” tab and uploading any necessary documents and/or photos.
Request a Measurement Report and an Estimate, from the Company Estimator, with the estimate being created based on the customer's needs/wants. This includes ensuring that the Company Estimator is aware of the products discussed with the customer and is advised as to how many separate estimates are needed, if any.
Follow-up with the customer within 24hrs, after an estimate is sent, discuss and review any questions and concerns. Report and discuss any concerns with upper management to help secure contracts with the customer and ensure customer satisfaction.
Manage the relationship with the customer by ensuring you maintain communication with the customer throughout the sales process and beyond. Includes collaborating with project managers and other staff members to ensure smooth project completion.
Stay up to date on industry trends, including new products, installation techniques and building codes, as well as understanding and familiarizing themselves with the company's products and services.
Skills Qualifications:
Ability to effectively communicate with diverse clients and colleagues, including the ability to build rapport and maintain positive relationships with clients.
Understanding of different roofing materials, installation methods, and relevant building codes.
Self-motivated with proven ability to close deals.
Ability to identify and address customer needs and concerns.
Ability to manage time effectively and work independently.
Ability to work at heights as, some roofing sales positions may involve climbing ladders and working on roofs.
Strong organization skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts at the same time.
