Drive multi-passenger vehicles to transport residents to off-site Prepare and submit reports that may include the number of passengers or trips, hours worked, mileage, fuel consumption, or fares received. Keep bus interiors clean for passengers. Read maps and follow written and verbal geographic directions. Report delays, accidents, or other traffic and transportation situations, using telephones or mobile two-way radios. Regulate heating, lighting, and ventilation systems for passenger comfort. They will also deliver local backhauls as needed. When not driving they will help in warehouse as a material handler. JOB DUTIES: * Demonstrates the ability to operate the following equipment in a safe and knowledgeable manner: tractor/trailer trucks, straight body trucks, forklifts and floor jacks. * Operates in a safe and knowledgeable manner tractor/trailer trucks and straight body trucks to and from shipping and receiving dock areas and other locations as necessary. * Performs all DOT and Company required pre-trip safety inspections and maintains logs & records as appropriate. * Keeps a daily record including trip reports and trailer yard inventory. * Maintains exterior of all dock areas. Work is performed Monday through Friday. No work is scheduled during weekends, during the summer public school break, established school holidays or when students do not report (teacher workdays).
