During these trips you would be picking up passengers at 4 locations in the SLC Valley then drive to Wendover and drop off passengers. You would then be off duty on layover for approximately 5 hours in Wendover. After your layover you would then load passengers and return to SLC Valley and drop off passengers at the same 4 stops you picked them up from. (Entire day start to finish with Off duty layover time is approximately 12 hours) “Turn Around Trip” Flat rate pay $170 per trip. During these trips you would be picking up passengers at 4 locations in the SLC Valley then drive to Wendover and drop off passengers. You would then be on layover for approximately 30 minutes in Wendover. After your layover you would then load passengers and return to SLC Valley and drop off passengers at the same 4 stops you picked them up from.     Full-time Description High Valley Transit, located in Utah, is seeking candidates for Operator Trainees to obtain their Class B CDL permit with passenger endorsement. During training, the trainee will learn how to successfully be responsible for safely transporting people by bus on regularly scheduled High Valley Transit bus routes; pre & post trip procedures; and communicate with dispatch. Graduation from the training program will be based off of successfully passing Class B CDL permit tests. Upon Graduation employees will move into an HVT Operator role. Requirements MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Legally eligible to work in the United States Minimum 21 years of age Possess a valid Utah driver's license with no moving violations in the past six months Must pass a criminal and background check Must pass a drug screening Demonstration of recent customer service experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience Ability to perform the physical requirement of the job including regular walking, floor to waist lifting up to 50 lbs. occasionally/carrying up to 15 lbs. occasionally, reaching, pushing, pulling, kneeling, crouching, balancing, bending, and prolonged periods of sitting and standing Willing to obtain Class B permit with Air Brakes and Passenger Endorsement Ability to obtain a Medical DOT Card before receiving Commercial Learners Permit (CLP) We offer a generous benefit package with options for a premium free health plan, dental plan, and life insurance. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Safely operate the hotel van to transport guests between the hotel and various destinations (e.g., airport, local attractions).
