Immediate Supervisor: Transportation/Operations Manager
Primary Role and Purpose:
Operate schoolbus that transports students and other authorized personnel to and from assigned destinations including but not limited to field trips, sporting events, and other school-related activities. Check the condition of vehicle tires, brakes, windshield wipers, lights, oil, fuel, water, and all safety equipment to ensure that everything is in working order.
Qualifications:
Must have valid Drivers License with Passenger SchoolBus Endorsement
Fingerprint clearance through New York State Education Department
CDL B or higher
P endorsement (passenger)
S endorsement (schoolbus)
3-year minimum schoolbus driving experience
A clean driver's license required

Independently performs transportation services by driving bus in Oswego and adjacent counties. Major Responsibilities:
* Drive a full-sized passenger bus over the road and on state facility grounds.
* Keep written records of trips, mileage, and stopovers.
* Supervise loading and unloading of passengers and personal property.
* Perform preventative vehicle maintenance such as the monitoring of gauges, checking tire pressures, and maintaining the appropriate fluid levels for radiators, batteries, and crankcases.
Minimum Qualifications • Ability to operate vehicles safely and effectively, and to be aware of both vehicle and traffic laws as they apply to the safe and legal operation of vehicles assigned.
* The ability to perform routine maintenance and maintain a good working knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance procedures.

**Responsibilities:**

**Qualifications**
**Requirements:**
+ Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (no CDL needed to start).
+ Must have held a driver's license for at least 3 years (5 years if applying in Tennessee).
+ Minimum age: 21 (25 in Tennessee).If you've held a DOT-regulated driving role in the past 3 years, we must be able to verify that employment per DOT guidelines.
+ Pass DOT drug screen, physical, and background check
+ Compliance with DOT regulations (marijuana prohibited, even for medical use)
