Essential Job Functions: Bus Driving: Safe Transportation: Drive school buses to transport students over scheduled routes and/or special excursions. Safety and Discipline: Enforce rules, regulations, and laws to maintain safety during transport, and maintain order and discipline among passengers. Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in safe operating condition, fuel the bus, and report mechanical malfunctions or other problems. Route Management: Follow assigned bus routes and schedules and notify the supervisor of any necessary changes. Communication: Communicate effectively with students and school staff. Emergency Response: Be prepared to respond to emergencies, including evacuations and administering first aid if needed.
