Additional Information
As a Non Emergency Medical Transportation company our main hours of operation are 6 AM - 6 PM Monday through Saturday, however as we travel anywhere within the state of Kansas, as well as outside of the state borders when necessary, hours needed for transport can exceed those hours of operation on either end.
We are looking for individuals who are wanting and willing to drive up to 200 miles outside of the city of Wichita for transport needs, with wide hours of availability to accommodate what our contracts need from us.
As a driver for UMT you would be an independent contractor, so you supply what your hours of availability are and we schedule you within that based on the trips we have assigned. Not only do you determine your own hours to a degree, you get to enjoy your vehicle as your office space every day! The schedule tends to become more fluid on some days, but you always get to choose the music, or muzak!

Conduct daily inspection of playground and playground equipment that includes the removal of debris or potentially harmful plants, documenting the playground inspection daily and timely submittal of Daily Playground Inspection Form to Center Manager.
Transports and assists with supervision of children and parents during parent meetings, field trips, at health clinics and as assigned.
Participates in training for serving children with disabilities or special needs (ex. children with wheelchairs or special car seats, children with allergies) in accordance with the child's IFSP and/or IEP.
Assist with recruitment plan activities, including recruiting children with disabilities.

Assist with keeping all warehouses clean inside and outside.
Communicate with production to be certain that we have all of the supplies required for production that are stored off site in the primary facility before production begins. Keep a record of these items.

We are looking for individuals who are wanting and willing to drive up to 200 miles outside of the city of Wichita for transport needs, with wide hours of availability to accommodate what our contracts need from us.
As a driver for UMT you would be an independent contractor, so you supply what your hours of availability are and we schedule you within that based on the trips we have assigned. Not only do you determine your own hours to a degree, you get to enjoy your vehicle as your office space every day! The schedule tends to become more fluid on some days, but you always get to choose the music, or muzak!

The Bus Monitor may be requested to assist in fulfilling staff/child ratios in classrooms, kitchen duties, or other areas of the center, as assigned, should a staff member be absent. (Any type of coverage will be contingent upon prior training and qualifications)
Assist the BusDriver /Janitor to clean and maintain the building and playground as needed.
Transports and assists with supervision of children and parents during parent meetings, field trips, health clinic visits and as assigned.
Participate in trainings for serving children with disabilities or special needs (ex. children with wheelchairs or special car seats, children with allergies) in accordance with the child's IEP and/or IFSP.
Assist in ongoing recruitment plan activities, including recruitment of children with disabilities.
Provide support or T/TA to other locations (centers) with some travel requirements.
Attend all staff meetings and trainings and other program activities as assigned.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Be 18 years of age.
High School Diploma or GED (Dependent on each state's childcare licensing requirements).
A CDA credential is also preferred and/or must enroll in the CDA for classroom coverage.
Ability to work irregular and flexible hours.
Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred - both oral and written.
Have dependable transportation to and from work.

Additional Eligibility Requirements:
Employment with UMOS is contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check prior to employment. Must complete a physical exam. Must complete approved SIDS & Shaken Baby Training prior to working with children. Fire Extinguisher Training, Infant/Child CPR and First Aid upon hire or prior to transporting children. Must complete a TB test screening showing absence of Tuberculosis within 30 days of employment or sooner as required by local/state regulation. Position is subject to random drug and alcohol testing.
