Coastal Carolina Regional Airport (EWN) is seeking candidates for the part-time position of Security/Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting. This position will perform a variety of specialized and detailed tasks in support of the operations, security, and emergency preparedness and response at the airport. The position responds to security incidents, aircraft fire emergency situations and operates fire suppression equipment in compliance with Transportation Security Regulations Parts 1540 and 1542 and Federal Aviation Regulations Part 139.
Selected candidate must:
Be able to fully meet and comply with FAA Advisory Circular 150/5210-17B
Successfully complete a Basic ARFF Course
Complete annual FAA required live fire training
Maintain ARFF/Security qualifications and skills
Attend monthly training and other meetings as necessary
Maintain Security Identification Display Area badge credentials and airport driving privileges
Perform other duties as assigned

Applicants who are selected to continue with the hiring process will be required to take the CASAS Test at Coastal Carolina Community College. After completion of the CASAS Test, applicants will be required to pass an agility test. This test must be completed in 20 minutes or less and consists of:

* 40 foot bear crawl
* Staircase: 2 times both sides (6 step staircase)
* Repeat 10 push-ups and 10 sit ups
Those selected to move forward will be invited for a Command Board interview.
Applicants who successfully pass the interviews will be scheduled for psychological testing, medical testing and a drug screening which will be administered at an agency located outside of Onslow County.

Upon successful completion of the NC Detention Officer Certification course, within 12 months of hire, candidates will move to Certified Detention Officer status with a 5% pay increase.

Challenging Projects:
As a Special Security Representative (SSR), you will work directly with the Special Security Officer (SSO) and Senior Intelligence Officer (SIO) to manage security controls, maintain compliance with SCI regulations, and support the resilience and protection of the Marine Corps' intelligence infrastructure. Key Responsibilities:
