The Computer Programmer is responsible for managing and maintaining core system functionality, availability, security, and compliance for enterprise applications and infrastructure. Job Responsibilities and Duties:

Requirements:

What will you do in this role?
Independently compose, implement, sustain, and verify programs to transfer and integrate data from multiple systems.
Develop and maintain visualizations to support Centralized Monitoring.
Contribute to the creation of tools and techniques for automating Data Analytics tasks.
Perform programming tasks to support Data Analytics and other functional groups involved in Risk-Based and Centralized Monitoring.
Document all work clearly, manage assignments to meet timelines, and ensure high-quality deliverables.
Improve personal and peer knowledge in programming, risk-based monitoring, data science, and the pharmaceutical industry.
Qualification Requirements:
Education requirements:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Statistics, Biostatistics, Math or related is required.
In some cases an equivalency, consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training and/or directly related experience, will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.
Experience requirements:
Minimum of 4 years of experience with Statistical Programming with MA/MS degree OR minimum of 6 years of Statistical Programming experience with Bachelors degree.
3+ years of experience in clinical research or related is required.
2+ years of project lead experience is required.
At least one of these areas is required (Rave, Snowflake or SQL Server).
Spotfire is highly preferred.

About the Role:
This team is building a platform that powers all of compute at Vercel. That means we provide all the primitives to run builds, serverless functions, middleware, edge functions, secure compute and now sandboxes too.
If you're based within a pre-determined commuting distance of one of our offices (SF, NY, London, or Berlin), the role includes in-office anchor days on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday. What You Will Do:
Manage our fleet of clusters, running 100's of instances, deployed in every region where our customers deploy and run their code.
You will be writing Golang on a daily basis, while terraform will be your go-to tool when it comes to provisioning the needed infra. You will get to know the ins and outs of Nomad as it's our current choice for scheduling the workloads.
The platform you will be building provides all the primitives to run all untrusted code from our customers: even a 1% performance improvement has massive repercussions across the board.
Working collaboratively with cross-team and cross-functional stakeholders, you will participate in the conception and implementation of new platform features.

About You:
You have 5+ years of software engineering experience, Golang preferred.

You have built and operated distributed systems at scale.

The San Francisco, CA base pay range for this role is $180,000-$280,000. Actual salary will be based on job-related skills, experience, and location. You will be responsible for administration of EDC Database including evaluation, analysis, design and/ or recommendations to achieve goals and excellent results in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. This is a full time, remote opportunity, but may travel for training and key meetings. As an EDC Database Developer, you will build and administer EDC trials for client contracted projects including protocol/requirements evaluation, electronic case report form (eCRF) design and build with corresponding edits. This role will have technical interaction with vendors that are supporting the applications and troubleshoot/ escalate problems on systems to appropriate partners. This role will provide expert guidance to the design, development, validation, implementation and maintenance of study set-up. Additionally, this role will manage the deployment of EDC trials and set up interface connections between EDC and other systems.
In this role you will:
Serve as a subject matter expert in Veeva Clinical Data Management Suite (CDMS), including Veeva Electronic Data Capture (EDC) and Veeva Clinical Database (CDB)
Perform all activities related to eCRF design and EDC build programming for assigned projects
Perform EDC edit check programming for assigned projects based on edit check specifications for both simple and complex edit checks
Create test data to verify both screen design and edit check programming prior to deploying to User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
Set up test environments and coordinate project team members for execution of test scripts
Program and configure listings and reports using clinical reporting tools such as Veeva Clinical Database (CDB)
Ensure secure and high-integrity database imports from vendor transfers using Celerion data transfer standards
Assist with the validation of upgrades to hardware/ software including validation documentation development, review and execution.
Maintain global clinical trial database standards (CDISC)
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
3 years of clinical data management experience
Ability to program using SQL required
