Your Role on Our Team The Software Engineer II will work as a member of an agile software development team that is responsible for building and maintaining custom applications for Milwaukee Tool. The Software Engineer II will participate in agile ceremonies and help facilitate good practices throughout the SDLC. This position will be responsible for designing, programming, testing, maintaining production, pre-production and prototype software applications. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Assist and respond to Customers and Sale's technical questions * Define project requirements for Customers and Sales * Determine project feasibility, including the adaptability of core software to stated purposes * Present software design proposals and risk assessments to Sales team * Work closely with other engineering disciplines, manufacturing and the customer throughout the design and testing phases. * Exercise independent judgment and draw conclusions based upon available information * Troubleshoot logic and servo drive issues * Develop engineering specifications, manuals, and project timelines * Work with peers in multiple departments and vendors to advance proprietary technologies and conceptualize new software features and functions * Work closely with teams to plan, problem solve engineering obstacles, and manage projects from inception to market release * Debugging programs An individual in this position must be able to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities listed above.
