The Fingerprint Technician works as a part of a dynamic team of professionals assisting the United States Citizenship and Immigration (USCIS) Application Support Center (ASC) operations. The Tiger Team Fingerprint Technician is a casual/on call team member, with the primary responsibility of completing biometric registration for applicants seeking legal immigration to the United States. Amentum provides all required job training for qualified candidates.
Hiring hourly rate of pay: $17.75 (hourly rate set by SCA)
* This position is regulated by the Department of Labor (DOL) as a Service Contract Act (SCA) contract. The DOL regulates the minimum hourly rate of pay, holiday and vacation leave benefits, and Health and Welfare (H&W) money.
The Tiger Team Biometric Technician under direct supervision of the ASC Site Supervisor, travels as directed to various nationwide ASC locations.
On Call (causal) employees are expected to be available all five days, Monday through Friday from the hours of 7:45am to 4:15pm for substitute coverage as needed at the site. This is not a regular Full Time or regular Part Time position; it is a Casual On-Call position. All efforts are made to notify On-Call personnel in advance of the site on call needs, however, occasionally employees are notified the night before or day of. Interested candidates must meet this availability. In this position, hours are not guaranteed, and employees are on a "as needed" basis so a steady income stream cannot be guaranteed. The On-Call position is a perfect fit for candidates with flexibility, seeking supplemental income and for those who still want to be active in a work environment without a committed schedule.
Biometric (Fingerprinting) Responsibilities Include:
* Process applicants for biometrics capture.
* Assist applicants with ASC processing forms.
* Review immigration and biometrics documentation.
* Perform biometrics processing to include capturing electronic fingerprints, photographs, and signatures.
* Proof and check work for accuracy and completeness and maintain a 98% efficiency rating for all processed forms.

* Successful completion of the biometrics training and become certified within sixty days
* Local travel 50%-100% of the time to fulfill contract requirements. This could be up to 100% travel outside of the McAllen area
