Shift Schedule: Monday - Friday: 6:30AM - 3:00PM Essential Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Verify & maintain records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepare items for shipment. Compare identifying information including counts, weights, or measurements of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records. Determine method of shipment, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates. Apply shipping labels to packed cartons or stencils identifying shipping information on cartons. Insert components/parts into containers, using spacers, fillers, and protective padding. Post weights and shipping charges. Unpack and examine incoming shipments, reject damaged items, record shortages. Properely route items to departments. Examine outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications. Assist in maintaining inventory of shipping materials and supplies. May operate forklift or use pallet jack to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage or work area, or to load or unload delivery vehicle. May receive damaged or defective goods returned to establishment. Examine processes and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. All other projects and tasks as assigned.
