This position supports the activities of the Receiving and Shipping department by unloading trucks, inspecting, signing and updating the computer system for received goods. Custom builds or prepares packaging for secure and safe shipment of products. Shipper generates bill of lading, packing lists on orders, arranges trucking services and maintains database. Essential Functions and Related Responsibilities: Essential Functions and Related Responsibilities: · Communicate with Customer Service department on the shipping schedule for the week prioritizing loads based on the ship dates and travel time. · Communicate with Planner on the shortages of FG's needed to complete order fulfillment. · Prepare Picklist to allow the shipping& receiving material handler to pick and stage upcoming orders. · Work with Consolidation group to schedule shipments. · Communication with customers to schedule shipping appointments if they schedule their shipments. · Utilize shipping programs to monitor the in-coming and out-going loads. · Monitor shipping supplies and notify appropriate resource when a reorder is necessary. · Print all necessary labels and documentation (BOL, Placards). · Print on-line orders and shipping labels. · Update the online order status of shipped product. · Verification of items shipped (tickets to BOL). · Helping resolve discrepancies when they arise on outbound shipments- help to establish and implement corrective actions. · Managing staff within the department - assigning tasks and maintaining productivity level. · Supports the efforts to maintain a level of cleanliness and organization within the shipping and receiving department. · Help to establish new processes when customers are onboarded, along the documentation of that process. · Work with the inventory specialist to maintain an accurate FG inventory. · Monitor FG area looking for any damaged units. · Maintain a flexible plan-o-gram of the FG's racking allowing for FIFO to be followed while completing order fulfillment. · Supporting of projects related to the departments SQF goals. · Auditing of the receiving paperwork and logbooks. · Audit the use of the allergen stickers on incoming loads. · Verifying correctness of the packing list and receiving the line items against the PO in Macola. · Supporting a team environment utilizing all resources to allow the company to reach its overall goals. · Maintain level of appropriate pallets. · Providing Training and feedback to staff. · Back-up of Warehouse Lead.
