Responsible for receiving of all medical supplies for hospital. Responsibilities Receive and unpack materials and supplies against purchase orders (PO's) for delivery Prepare orders for return-to-vendor shipment Record shipment data, including weight, charges, and space availability Report damages and discrepancies to request reimbursement or re-shipment Maintain logs of all shipments outgoing and incoming Prepare daily production and volume reports in order to measure productivity and prepare billing charges Qualifications High school Diploma or equivalent 0-1 year experience working in a shipping/receiving or professional office environment Some knowledge of the job Moderate understanding of general job aspects and some understanding of the detailed aspects of the job Knowledge & application of domestic and international shipping carriers, customs, duties and shipping regulations as well as internal tools used (e.g., scanning equipment, hot- synching of scanners, internal database tracking system, dollies and carts) Excellent customer service, professional attitude and appearance are a must Ability to work overtime & meet deadlines PHYSICAL DEMANDS Ability to lift 40 lbs Repetitive motion Reaching, pushing, pulling carts weighing up to 250lbs Walking, standing for extended periods of time What We Offer: Competitive pay & benefits! The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Receive and verify incoming pharmaceutical deliveries against purchase orders and packing slips. Inspect deliveries for accuracy, quality, and compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements. Properly label and store medications and supplies in designated areas. Maintain accurate records of received items, discrepancies, and any returns to vendors. Collaborate with the inventory management team to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize waste. Assist with inventory counts and audits as needed. Ensure the receiving area is clean, organized, and free of hazards. Follow safety protocols and standard operating procedures at all times. Communicate effectively with suppliers, pharmacists, and other team members to resolve any issues or discrepancies.
