This position assures the shipment of parts is in an orderly fashion so the shipments arrive on time and in good condition according to customer demands.This position is for 1st Shift (7am-3pm). US Farathane has been a leading source of plastics manufacturing, supplying the automotive industry for over 50 years. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: All cartons containing parts are to be stored/shipped in good condition. Parts are to be prepared for shipment per the shipping schedule using FIFO and according to the individual customer packaging instructions. If parts are not available for shipment at the designated time, it must be brought to the immediate attention of the Warehouse Supervisor. Transfer parts from warehouse to shipment staging. Ensure parts are scanned, wrapped and have master labels. Check dock codes as required per customer. All shipments are to be completed on a timely basis to ensure availability of commercial transport. Process shipments through the system to ensure timely advance shipping notification and record keeping. Once an ASN has been started, you must monitor the process until completion to ensure that no errors have occurred during the transmission. Scan labels for shipment. Review shippers. Employee will be responsible for driving company van for the pick-up and delivery of customer units within the state of Texas. May be expected to use a forklift to put away or retrieve unit inventory. Responsibilities also include general shipping and receiving duties, including customer units and parts; maintaining customer and Odyssey unit inventory stored in the warehouse; issuing of parts to Technicians and Assemblers; inventory control; parts kitting; and facilities maintenance. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma Two years of experience in logistics, warehouse shipping and receiving. Any equivalent combination of education and experience can be considered. Must have a valid driver's license by date of hire. Driving and Forklift experience is preferred. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Employee must have a high, quality work ethic and aptitude. Performing inventory counts of customer units, Odyssey-owned units, and shipping related items, as required. PARTS ROOM Accurately receiving and issuing parts using Odyssey's inventory software (NetSuite). Demonstrating inventory management practices. Working with and identifying various electronic parts and components. GENERAL Following internal procedures, work instructions, inventory systems, and Safety Awareness at all times. Plant Inventory Control Associate The team member in this position accurately maintains daily, weekly and monthly inventory levels in the WMS while maintaining proper inventory rotation and storage.
